How do I add existing comments to blog page?

My website had a blog page that was accidentally deleted. When I restored the page from the trash, it was back. Today the blog page no longer has the comments. What’s different? I did add the Chaty add on. I also added SEO but comments disappeared / disconnected before that add-on was installed.

I did read this post where the user had the same issue, but it did resolve their existing comments only new comments by pointing them to this page.

Hi,

We use our blog as another channel of communication where blog visitors/readers can post related questions about the projects or products we feature in the blog. We respond to these and sometimes include links back to products or other pages on our main website. By default, these blog comment links contain the rel=”nofollow” or rel=”nofollow ugc” attributes. We would like to make all these links rel=”dofollow”.

Is anyone able to offer help or advice on how we can do this? Is there a wordpress setting or plugin that can sort this, or is it something that needs to be coded. If it does need a code modification, are there any recommended ways of sorting this.

Facebook APP ID

Hello,

My blog is under maintenance mode. And I’ve added the Social comments Facebook box plugin in all my blog posts.

When I post a test comment, the comment is posted correctly. However. when I go to the Facebook Moderators Tool, the comments are not shown there. And when I run the Facebook Debugger Tool it says that the fb:app_id is missing!

I’ve already created an APP ID and added to the App ID setting inside the plugin but it doesn’t do anything. I am trying to solve this for days and no luck.

Any idea why I can’t see the comments posted in my blog under the Facebook Moderators Tool? I know it’s a Facebook tool matter but since the App ID has been created, I don’t see why the comments do not show up.

Comments not visible

We have “allow comments” activated on the referenced page but comments are not showing up. We’ve tried enabling comments for the entire site and still can not see comments. However, comments are visible on posts. Please assist.

User’s comment takes admin image

Hi all,

I’ve installed Maxwell theme on my blog tohelpteens.com. Every time a user posts a comment, and I edit and approve it, it takes my admin gravatar image (the same image for me and the user as well). When I set the default avatar image as ‘mystery man’ icon, my admin gravatar image on the top of the post also disappears and gets replaced by the ‘mystery man’ icon.

So, how do I keep my admin gravatar image at the top of the post, and set a ‘mystery man’ icon for all users in the comments section underneath every post?

Making Blog Commenting and Subscribing Easy

I’m having an issue in which users are trying to comment, but it only sends me an email with their message. I want my blog page to have a “leave a comment” option under my blog post that shows their comments under my blog post. My blog page has the articles set up to scroll one after the other with no comment option. I tried using a form, but that doesn’t seem to work. I noticed that if you go to the page for a particular blog post like this: https://buck-rail.com/2019/07/12/mounting-a-bipod-on-the-red-ryder/

There is an option to comment at the top just above the blog header. Is there a way to make that option show after the block with a text box and button? and also show on the blog page itself?

Cannot Access WP Admin Dashboard nor Leave Blog Comments

Hi there!

Love your Admin Custom Login plugin. Unfortunately, it has created two problems for us:

(1) We cannot access our WordPress Admin page via GoDaddy dashboard;
(2) Users cannot register and leave comments on our blog and news pages. In attempting to do so, they enter into a endless loop. You can try this yourself. Go to link provided and try to leave a comment on any Blog page article.

When we deactivate the plugin, above issues go away!

Please assist.

Posting Blogs to multiple websites

I want to consolidate several blogs sites into a single blog site with the blogs under categories relevant to each of the different websites. For example I blog on Renewable Energy, Coaching, Theology, Cosmology, etc. All very different blogs.
Then I want a blog page on each individual website that accesses the central blog site and repeats the blog on that website, but only the category relevant to that website.
E.g. The website about Renewable Energy will only receive blogs and comments posted about renewable energy.
I want this to be live so when I post on the Blog site it immediately and automatically repeats on the relevant website.
I also want the comments posted on the specific website to be reflected back on the central blog website.
Does something like this exist? Is there a plugin for this?
If not, would someone like to write one?

No longer getting blog post comment notification sent by email

I have a wordpress blog hosted by Bluehost. The comment email notification worked just fine for years, just recently I haven’t been getting comment notifications sent to my email. Everything is up to date, nothing new added other than the routine WP updates. It’s set to send it to the correct email, the correct boxes are checked to send blog comments, and no, it is NOT going to my email spam, I’ve checked that.

Any suggestions?

How to allow users to comment on blogs

Hi,

I am finally getting this together. I would like to allow people to comment on my blog, but atm they need to login. How to I get them to send a registration request, or allow this to happen automatically? I am running Twenty Sixteen.

Can I modify meta widget to only show login link?
