Hello! I ready searched a lot but request the assistance from community. The page link is attached. The point is:

Theme called “PressBook Masonry Blogs” but I suppose it doesn’t matter. It doesn’t allow any customization to homepage or top widget (only sides).

I need at least to make simple text block (welcome text) and picture at the top of blog preview. I cannot find any possibility to do it with standard tools. I cannot find the possibility even to make it with plugins.

I don’t want to make additional static page with text + blog block there
I can go theme file editor to edit – PressBook Masonry Blogs: Main Index Template (index.php) but I don’t know how to write it properly.
I tried before to google everything. Found one recommendation: Install a plugin such as “Widget Options” or “Widget Visibility”. I installed Widget options but didn’t find nothing to help me.

putting product search on the homepage

I successfully installed the search widget on the product pages. I tried multiple times to put search on home page and failed. Now I have multiple search widgets on blog page, multiple filter widgets on all product pages, and the blog page has become my homepage.

I did not previously have nor do I need a blog page.

Can I just go back to an earlier version of the website?

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Would like to keep the themes homepage but would like to have a separate blog page. When it go to setting> reading. I have go it it set to “your latest post”. I can set static pages but it does not keep my home page as I cant see it homepage option on the front page.

Hi,
I am not sure what happened. I was adding a “categories” widget, and was trying something else which I now forgot, and I lost the blog page. All that is there now is a search bar with the message:

“Not Found
Apologies, but no results were found for the requested archive. Perhaps searching will help find a related post.”

I have an E-Commerce Website – www.puredesiart.com

I wanted to start writing blogs to promote Indian Handicrafts, so i installed WordPress on www.puredesiart.com/blog . But now I need to have a similar look and feel of the Blog frontpage as of my website. Is it possible to do so.

It would be really helpful if you can please provide me with some documentation on how to do so.

Latest posts blog homepage problem

On Settings -> Reading, I selected “Your latest posts”. I have the blog home page set to list 3 posts with summaries. It doesn’t give summaries. If I change it to “full text”, it doesn’t do that either. It gives me the right number of posts, but I want more of the blog post listed on the page.

I did make a change in the left column, but I can’t figure out what might be wrong about that. Here’s the page: https://ridingthewave.net/kowabunga-blog/

Please, i want to power my site on the browser as https://mydomain.com. I actually installed WordPress in a sub-directory folder with this path https://mydomain.com/myblog. I want to give my friends the site url as https://mydomain.com and not as https://myblog.com/myblog. Also, in the general setting, which one should contain the full path? Thanks in anticipation for any instruction you can render.
