For some reason, I cannot change the template of a page to be full-width, with no sidebars…

[blogum] Sidebar Widget Issues

I’m having a very difficult time adding new widgets to the sidebar of the Blogum theme.

As you can see here: https://www.arakhneweb.net/ – the twitter follow widget is aligned left, although I have altered the CSS to align all widgets to the right. Not only that, it’s pressed right up against the body of the main posts. And the facebook like box widget is showing up at the bottom of the post.

This is happening with pretty much every new widget I try to add to the site – it’s aligned wrong, it pops up at the bottom of the page, or it doesn’t show up at all. Help…!

Comments aren't working for Blogum Theme

Hello!

I am running the Blogum theme from WP Shower and realized today my comments are not working. The formatting of the submit form seems off, and when you try to comment and press submit, nothing happens.

Can anybody please help me? I’d love to fix this problem, or even get code for a whole other comments section that action works. It’s driving me crazy. Thank you!

Blogum: Increase gap between content and right side bar lines going across pg

I’m trying to increase the gap between the content and the right side bar – How do I do this?

Also, I’ve noticed that the lines that separate the boxes on the right side bar make their way across the whole page. How do I stop this from happening?

Increase Space Between Post and Sidebar (Blogum Theme)

I just started using the Blogum theme on my site and wanted to get started on editing it to suit me. I spent so much time last night and tonight trying to figure out how to increase the space between my posts and the sidebar to the right (widgets). As you can see here – https://www.shannonsometimes.com/ – they are way too close together.

I’ve tried searing the stylesheet for padding, margins and changed multiple all to no effect. I’m new to having a self-hosted WP blog. Please help!

Blogum Theme image sizing problem

Hi,
I have a problem with the otherwise great Blogum theme, the image re-sizing doesn’t apply (I want to insert small images). How can I change that, or where in the css, other people having the same issue I guess?
One workaround would be to work with thumbnails. Here the question is: how can I make them not to crop the original image and keep the original’s proportions, like working with a let’s say fixed width…
I’d be happy to specify, and to get some feedback on this!

Moving the comments field

Hi,
I’m using the Blogum theme, and by default, the comments field appears under each individual post.

My comments box is stuck in the right sidebar, and I can’t figure out how to move it back under each post (restore to default). I’ve tried playing around with the CSS but that hasn’t done anything. I don’t know if it’s more of a PHP issue (I’m a newbie at it).

Any help would be great.

Blogum Theme – Header / Banner Image help please

Hi there.

I’m currently trying to set up blog for my Facebook page and I’m having trouble with the Header / Banner

As you can see on the page I have a menu going across the top which is below where the Header text usually is. And I also have the banner below that. Is it possible to put the banner where the header should be? So that the menu is below the banner?

I am not very good with CSS code so if it involves inserting some code could you please explain exactly where on in the php files the code needs to be placed. I understand it will be the header.php file I will need to edit.

Andy help is hugely appreciated.

Adding follow-me buttons to meta of single.php

Hello. First post here on this forum. Am using the Blogum template and Sharedaddy plugin, see here: https://superetoiles.com/?p=41#more

Currently, the Facebook etc buttons appear below the post, as per one of the plugin’s settings. Is there a simple way to move these buttons into the Meta data to the left of the post, under the author, date and category info?

The Blogum template actually comes with a Share link originally, but the link must first be clicked in order to show the list of share options, and there’s no email share the Like buttons.
