How to show only de first file

I created a library page, like a bookstore, where I show the pdfs by subject. However, as there are many files, it is confusing to search for the desired title. To resolve, I want to show only the
most current and have a file place where the user can see the other pdfs. How can I do this?

I would also like to show the title of the file without having to hover over the image.

Hello all. I am in the process of building a new site for our business. We are a home school/charter school science & history publisher. We currently have a site running on 4.2.6 that a friend built a long time ago. We want to update the site with a responsive theme and from what I can see woocommerce has a ton of plugins that I like. We also have a fulfillment center that uses a xml interface to send print orders to them. I am looking for a store front theme that can do both ebook & print orders as well as a new site to host our ebook files. Right now the largest file is 75mb in a pdf. We have about 26 products for sale at the moment. Anything anyone can recommend? Thanks.

PTO overwrites Slider script?

Hello everyone!

Since upgrading to WP 3.9 our slider displays only one product,
over and over again, instead of loading and displaying the first 5.

CrunchPress Support said “PTO overwrites slider script”.
I don’t know if that is the root of the problem.

That product slider was the reason we chose that template in the first place, so if anyone knows a fix…?

Book store envato theme

Hi,

I already asked for help on my theme’s forum but am desperate as they have not replied.

I recently updated the theme and wordpress and don’t know which is causing the problem, but the formatting is all wrong, running over each other on the mobile sites and such, and not displaying the slider and other such content on the actual website, even if on the wordpress page setup they are there.

Can anyone help?

I have been using bookstore theme and woocommerce plugin for my online book shop..
I want to make a filter that gets appropriate Department and year for books selection…’
So i went through forums i got this GD CPT tools that creates taxonomies….But when it filters it shows only posts..i want to make it view as products..

Is there any solution…please make it..

Request: a opds formatter/visualizer for wordpress

This is not related strictly to your pluing.
But your plugin is the only one that does something similar to what I am looking for.
And the only one that seems to be dealing with opds format.

So I provide you the idea to see if you are interested in developing it further.

What I am looking for is a way to provide access to the users of my wordpress site to a collection of books.

I have generated the opds catalog (and html) of the book collection using calibre2opds.

I have put it on a web server, and it works, you can read the opds catalog as it if were a RSS source, or browse the catalog using the html generated web pages.

The problem is that it is not integrated with the wordpress site, and you cannot control user access implemented in my wordpress site.

It would be great to have a plugin that generate a wordpress dynamic page and displays in its content the content of the opds catalog that you have configured to display from a directory in the site.
If it could display a catalog from an offsite catalog (using ftp access to it or http) it would be better, as it would provide an interface and user access control to the catalog and books filed elsewhere.

I think it won’t be all that difficult to do for somebody with php and opds format expertise.

Hi WP Community, I need lil help and info.

I like WP interface, can any one suggest – if it is possible – as I want to build a Book Store on WP.

We are into Printing / Publishing Business. We print non-profit books for NGOs / Welfare Organizations / Temples in India and Abroad.
Can anyone suggest – is it possible to create such thing on WP. If yes – please suggest on how to integrate on WP?

As, We will be listing Spiritual Books and wants to provide options to order online.
Is it possible on WP – if yes – please suggest (theme / plugins)

I request – share the free and paid options (I mean both options – if possible)

I feel – anything possible on WP.
