So I thought that technically it was the same for me as configuring the checkout phase, and that it only requires another action from the store owner (send an offer instead of sending the order). Maybe alter some labels for links or buttons (‘Order products’ -> ‘Request offer’)
But please don’t hesitate to correct me if I’m wrong in my assumption.
The problem however is that WC only displays products if all data for that product is available (like price, tax rates etc.) and that the store owner only has limited data available; a name, an SKU, a product image and attributes where applicable. That’s it.
He doesn’t need more, since he wants to use WC only as an extended folder / brochure for his products.
My questions are:
– Can I use the build-in WC checkout options for this purpose?
– If ‘yes’, how can I ‘force’ WC to display products even without price or other required data?
– If’no’, or in case it’s better, are there any plugins which do that?

I’m looking for a plugin with a gallery style layout that displays thumbs and brief amount of info alongside quite a few other thumbnails, that upon clicking the thumb, a large version of the pic is displayed in space above along with slightly more info.
I am new to WordPress, but not to web design in general, and am sure I will have to edit and customize a fair amount of code, but if anyone has any suggestions for me as a good starting point I would love to hear about it.

A brochure style site using only pages.
- Custom Fields to define either a YouTube video or rotating jQuery Cycle images on the right side.
- Custom Fields to define either a YouTube Custom Player or several YouTube videos across the bottom of page.
- There is a gallery for each page. Custom fields assigned the gallery name will display images in a jQuery Cycle on the right.
- Home page is different in that an image is clicked then the video is displayed and played.
Custom Theme options:
- Define speed of rotating images.
- Define text below rotating image for mouse over to stop.
- Define PDF files to link into the 3 buttons across top
Could somebody please tell me is there is a Plugin that would allow me to add products and sub-products to a WP site – as if I was creating an ecommerce site BUT without the actual ‘price’, ‘shipping’ ‘add to cart’ and all that stuff as I wont’ be selling online. In other words, I want to creat a sort of brochure site to display some products with descriptions etc but without the ecommerce part. I’ve had a look at WP e-commerce which is great but FAR too complex for what I’m trying to do.

Do any of you know of a plugin available which will be suitable for a brochure request purpose?
Ideally it would provide: A form with name, email address etc which, once filled in and sent, would add the persons details to the back-end database so that this could be accessed and then brochures sent out.
