Hacked. Now get 404 page for posts wp-admin. Can wordpress files be fixed?

I was hacked and thousands of web pages were injected into my host server files. I removed some of them and my site went down. I am not sure if I deleted an htaccess file by accident or what… but I now get all 404 pages both when typing in specific urls to pages, posts, and even when i go to the domain/wp-admin page.

How do I fix the wordpress install without deleting my database (which I HOPE is still untouched)? I am afraid to uninstall / reinstall wordpress because I don’t want to delete my files if they are salvageable. ***fingers crossed***

PLEASE HELP! My site host doesn’t seem to have any answers for me, they just suggest the site be reverted to a backup but the last backup was from a long time ago so I would rather not loose all of my recent posts and stuff.

New install no settings

This is a new install. When I activate the plug and go to Form – Settings under infustionsoft the screen is blank, there are no fields to fill in.

If I go to infusionsoft feeds I see two forms listed, both named FORM, and if I click Add New I get a blank screen. I’ve updated WP, deactivated all plugins except gravity forms and this one.

Install not complete, can't access dashboard

I installed WordPress (using Dreamhost’s one-click installer) yesterday evening and had access it to it all day. But after trying out several themes and plugins, I suddenly could not access my dashboard. I’d get an error message that the page could not be accessed. I could also not reach my wordpress login page. Thinking one of my installed themes caused this error, I deleted WordPress from my site using Dreamhost’s admin panel and then re-installed it. I got an email confirming it was installed, but when prompted to create a username, log into my dashboard, etc. I get the same error message as before. I really don’ t know how to proceed.

Hi all,

I’ve un installed W3 Total Cache and no can’t access the backend of a production WordPress site.

This is the error.

W3 Total Cache Error: some files appear to be missing or out of place. Please re-install plugin or remove /var/www/vhosts/londoncocktailclub.co.uk/httpdocs/wp-content/advanced-cache.php.

Any help would be awesome,

Can someone tell me how to fix this please?

I tried to install the pluggin but get errors. I removed it (deleted pluggin) and restored a backup to the site but I’m getting code at the top of the displayed webpage.

Hi Everyone,

I have a problem, of my own making I must admit.

I have a custom installation of wordpress that was running a very old version of WP, as far as I remember it was 2.0.3. I put off upgrading as long as possible, but last night finally bit the bullet.

I copied the upgrade script across, and it it ran and i had to copy some files back. Now it was giving DB errors because it upgraded the DB to latest version.

I do have a copy of the old blog files, but not the DB (Part of the reason of upgrading was to install the automated backup for the sql data)

I think the install is pretty much trashed, which is very unfortunate because I paid the designer a lot.

So can I start the design of the theme again and just overlay the theme onto the blog data sql ? If so what is the best way to go about it ?
