jQuery Accordion Menu is expanded in IE and Firefox

Hi,
the menue works great, like designed in Chrome, but in IE and Firefox, the menu is always completely expanded. Hence it overflows the screen.
Any advice how to change settings or whatever to auto-close the menu also in browswers like IE and Firefox.
Activated check boxes are:
+ Click
+ Auto Close Open Menus
+ Auto Expand Based on Current Page/Item
+ Close Menu (hover only)
Changing them, didn’t help.

my webpage only works through firefox – not internet explorer?

Hey!
I have a very basic website that I created through wordpress. I uploaded a template that i created using Artisteer. It worked fine before, but ever since i upgraded my wordpress to the latest version (a few days ago), my website is messed up when opened through internet explorer.

It works fine through firefox…but people that open it through internet explorer see a skewed page (words everywhere, picture out of place, just looks like a mess). Sometimes the home page works through internet explorer, but as soon as you click on a few of the tabs it eventually goes screwy.
and it always works fine through firefox…?

Please help!!

TOTALLY WEIRD! ???

I just installed this theme a few days ago, literally.

I added a few pages to it, uploaded a header and added a pic to the background. One minute it was fine and the next day it wasn’t.

If you view the site in Chrome, everything is FINE. If you view it in FF or IE there is a big “+” sign in the top left red graphic which is a hyperlink to the home page and the SECOND issue is that the “artists-2” page actually shows the content of the “Our Mission” page even though the URL says it is the ‘artists-2’ page.

Again, in Chrome, everything is fine the ‘artists-2’ page is the artists-2 page and there is NO plus sign showing up in the top left red graphic (the one that has the Bible verse in it.

Also, “Page Not Found” shows up in the browser tab (again, only in IE or FF)as Chrome displays everything correctly.

IE detection and notification

I would like for WordPress to detect the browser. If the browser is IE6 or IE7, I’d like for a pop-up to warn the user “there may be problems with functionality do the browser you’re using. we recommend updating your browser with the current version of yada yada…”. The user can chose to close the notification and continue browsing or click to download the latest version of the browser they are using.

Any ideas?

Found problems using validator, where do I edit them?

I ran my site through the https://validator.w3.org/ and found some errors that might be giving me compatibility issues. But in what file do I actually edit to fix them? Is it one of the theme files or an actual wp one? For example the index page has about 9 errors and loads of text, but I can never find that actual page in my server just the wp and theme files.

Photo problems

Would someone please reply to this request? I’m been in a holding pattern all day, and need to get this resolved.

I’m using the browser uploader…Flash 9, not 10…Firefox 3.0.4…WordPress 2.6.5.

The images upload to the gallery fine from my desktop…half the time. The other half of the time, it just hangs indefinitely, regardless of how small the image file is.

When clicking on “Show” in the Gallery, nothing happens.

Each time I leave the site, all images disappear from the Gallery.

There is a small empty box/square to the left of “Show” labeled “Order”–no clue if that’s supposed to mean or do something.

In all the posts regarding similar problems, I see other users mentioning an “Insert into post” button. No such button or language appears anywhere in the “From computer” section or Gallery window…the one in the “From URL” section is grayed out.

When I click on the “Add an Image” icon in the visual editor, the ever-frustrating browser uploader window opens. If I click on the Gallery tab, I’m back to the “Show” button that does nothing and no button labeled “Insert into post.”

I’ve looked endlessly on both the WordPress.com and .org sites for a Support link…have also searched my copy of WordPress for a similar link…nothing there either. I truly feel like I’ve been left all alone out here with no one to help.

Please, please, please, please, please reply to let me know how to insert photos since this doesn’t appear to function as one would expect. If there’s user documentation written for people who don’t code for a living, that would be helpful too. Big time.

the browswer pops up my blog title twice

Well, that 2nd one obviously needs to be taken out—looked all day at the code and newbie can’t figure out how…looking at the comment section.php.

Working with other browsers

I’ve designed my website (https://obliviouslyyours.com/blog) in Internet Explorer, and I’ve finally gotten to the point where it looks *exactly* how I want it to…in IE. Now, I KNOW my coding is pretty much–well–atrocious (I fear running it through the validator must be coronary-inducing to you PHP gods), but as a 17-year-old girl just having a bit of fun, I have to admit that I really don’t care so long as it looks presentable and runs fairly well. In IE, I have somehow accomplished that feat, but when I looked at the page through Firefox last night it was an absolute disaster. Something funny happened to the scrolling and div layers and text size and…ugh, just ugh.

I haven’t tried Netscape or AOL or anything else, but I would imagine it’s a similar reaction in different browsers and due to my shoddy coding…but honestly I have no idea where to start. I don’t know much about Firefox — does it not take div layers well or something? If you take a quick look through the validator can you spot the BIG mistake that’s making it do this?

Before I posted this I searched and found a topic that said you should design things in Firefox first and THEN go to “the beast” IE…but it’s kind of too late for that now and I am very, very weary of this — honestly at this point I’m almost tempted to just say “Too bad!” and shrug my shoulders. There wouldn’t be a semi-quick way to solve this, by any chance, would there?

I really appreciate your patience, and any help would be extremely appreciated. Thank you from the bottom of my newbie soul.
