Configuring and enabling this plugin requires entering ‘Classic View’ from the dashboard Screen (top right).
]]>Quick aside– I can’t stand the block editor and have been a huge lover of Classic Editor!
However, I’m also a fan of editing in Calypso… actually, for various reasons, I have to use it during most days because I don’t have access to WP-Admin. Anyway, a few months ago, whenever I’d go to edit or start a new post in Calypso, I’d get redirected to WP-Admin, which meant I was unable to edit during most days.
I tried all of the solutions suggested to me in the aforementioned thread including deactivating and deleting Classic Editor as well as a number of other plugins, but it didn’t work.
I’m getting desperate and was wondering if anyone here might have a solution for this. I’m to the point where I’d pay for help, I just don’t know where to look.
]]>I do not have an active WordPress dot COM website, I only have my self-hosted site, brulosophy.com, and I have no problems editing from WP-Admin. However, with Jetpack installed, I’m able to use WordPress dot com to check my stats as well as edit posts and pages, it’s what I’ve been doing for years and far prefer over WP-Admin.
After changing absolutely nothing on my end, whenever I use WordPress dot COM to edit posts (https://wordpress.com/posts/brulosophy.com), rather than opening up a new post with the white and light blue background on WordPress dot com, it now redirects me to WP-Admin.
I apologize for the redundancy, just trying to be as clear as possible. I will freaking pay someone to help me with this at this point!
Thanks!
]]>If I click the button to enable it, I get a redirect to the Jetpack dashboard. If I log into the server and use WP CLI to list the Jetpack modules, manage is not present.
Comparatively, I have some sites still on WP 4.9.9 and I can manage my plugins just fine. If I list modules on these sites, manage is present.
So somewhere between 4.9.9 and 5.2.1, this module disappeared and broke part of the Calypso functionality. I can’t seem to find any documentation on this, but I wondered if anyone at Jetpack has any insight into what’s going on. Thanks.
]]>But I can’t find a way to use QFI plugin.
Perhaps I am looking in the wrong place?
Is it possible to use QFI plugin when managing with the Calypso interface?
Thankyou
It’s sort-of worked. I can see some page content, but there is a persistent orange alert that says ‘Jetpack 3.3 is required to take full advantage of all page editing features.’
On some pages (e.g. menus), it says ‘Your version of Jetpack is out of date.
Jetpack 3.5 or higher is required to see this page.’
Calypso was installed yesterday and Jetpack is on version 3.9.4, so don;t understand the source of the problems. Can you help? Much appreciated if so.

]]>I rely heavily on my fluency with the existing template tags and whipping up a theme that serves a client, as we use WP as a CMS and really don’t want to switch because it is very reliable and has a ton of supportive people in the community.
Just curious if anyone watching the forums and contributing here could give me any peace of mind or a warning about the whole PHP/MySQL setup that we are all so comfortable with… is it going away?
Thanks anyone and everyone. Love this community and look forward to some feedback on this.
