When I go to edit the slider in WordPress it is as if the layer mentioned above does not exist but the cursor changes as I hover over the background image indicating there is something there but it is not visible or editable.

I uninstalled and reinstalled the Smart Slider 3 plugin without any change.

I created a new blank slider and when I create a new slide I cannot edit anything. If I try to add a Heading or Text block nothing happens.

I have gone through the routine methods of troubleshooting. Deactivated all plugins except Smart Slider 3 and activated the default 2022 WP theme without any change.

I use this slider on other sites and there is no problem anywhere but here.

Thoughts?

Since it indicates “media being uploaded” I had assumed it would resolve after a few minutes, once media loaded. The error message never goes away. The save/preview/publish fields remain greyed out no matter how long I wait. I’ve been able to publish in the past and have the most updated versions of WordPress (Current version: 5.8.2) and Web Stories (Version 1.14.0).

When she clicks the edit content button to load the widget nothing happens. Also, in the past she was able to edit the widget but the edits would not publish.

I have not been able to replicate this glitch but she has the same result in multiple browsers.

Thoughts?

I have tried relaunching the site, relaunching the page but no progress.

Any ideas?

They have had this plugin since about 2014. For a while, it was uninstalled to try a different form plugin, but they liked Ninja Forms better.

For example, when I click on Status Published Edit and click on the Edit, nothing happens

The same occurs when I click on Published On Date Edit, nothing happens when I click Edit

Sometimes I want to put things back into draft form to work more on it, and I can’t.

I am adding this part to the above. In thinking on how to solve this, I don’t know if it has to do with the latest update or some other problem. I’ve never really had this problem before.

This happens with all posts I have checked, not just one.

I use the same theme in another website, with elementor too but no matters with that, so I suppose it is not a theme problem.

Do you have any advice?
