I have LMS Website created with the help of learnpress and Edubin Theme , Now I have upload different kind of courses but the issue is ” 475 Pages is not indexed yet with Error “Alternate page with proper canonical tag”

So can you please explain me how to resolve this issue ?

what should i do now that the all canonical URL indexed ?

also please tell me if “In future how to avoid from this Error , I mean “Alternate page with proper canonical tag”

Canonical URLs on ACF CPT Archives

I have a site where I created a Custom Post Type using the Advanced Custom Fields plugin. After creating the CPT, I edited the CPT settings to change the “Archive Slug”. The URLs on the site changed properly but the canonical url meta link tag in the head generated by Yoast did not update and was showing the original “Archive Slug” I used when I first created the CPT.

I was able to fix this by editing the database directly but this feels like a bug (maybe?). Hopefully it is not considered to be an edge case since many WordPress users/developers use ACF to register custom post types.

Just thought I should raise a flag. Thanks for all of your great work Yoast team!

Hi.I have a website called www.gozoholidays.net which is redirected to www.gozofarmhouses.net

I am having problems with https://www.gozofarmhouses.net/diving-in-gozo cause it is not appearing in the search results although I did seo for it and in google search console it is giving the error of canonical url.

I placed https://www.gozofarmhouses.net/diving-in-gozo in yoast seo as per answer to my question before but just now search console returned with the same error.

Can anyone help me please.

Massive change of “canonical URL” at Advanced settings

Hello everyone, does anybody know how to massively change this setting Advanced – Canonical URL? I have more than 150 pages and need to make Canonical URLs for all of them.

I mean i need to add for every page at this field the same link of this page for example:

https: // my website.com/news/good-news
https: // my website.com/business-case/case1
https: // my website.com/about-us/page3
etc. etc.

In other words, i need to duplicate original page link to this field and change the default Canonical URL for all my pages.

How can i do it without adding links for 150+ pages manually?

Sub domain not listed by google

Hi.I have the above mentioned page and google has not indexed it yet.Search console is saying google last crawled it on thr 14th Feb.It was also saying he was finding a canonical url meaning there were two identical pages.Now I declared the page as canonical in yoast and it has been 6 days now.What I am finding strange is that it is not listed in sitemaps and when I create a new xml file and uploaded first it is there then it goes out of sitemap.Can anyone explain please.David

Canonical issue RE: Staging URL

Hello-

I’ve been using Yoast SEO for years on a client site, and recently I’m digging more into her backend issues to improve her rankings. I noticed that many of her site pages have canonical errors (The canonical URL is a dead URL), and that will likely prevent these pages from being indexed correctly. The canonical URL on these pages is set to an old staging site URL (for example, for the “www.LIVE-WEBSITE/about-me” page, the canonical URL is “www.NO-LONGER-ACTIVE-STAGING-SITE/about-me”. Perhaps this was done automatically by the plugin when it noticed that the staging site had the same content as the live site. This is odd if so.

When I go into the Yoast settings on one of the affected pages, and look in the “advanced” section, there is no entry in the “canonical URL” field, but I can confirm the presence of a canonical URL via the source code. If I type in a space to that “canonical URL” field and click “update”, the bad canonical is now gone (problem solved!). The issue is that I have 250 pages to go.

My questions:

1) Why did that happen (automatically adding canonical URLs for the staging site), and how do I prevent it from happening when I use my staging site to make edits next time?

2) How can I fix this issue in bulk? I have seen solutions that hide all canonical URLs, but I do not want to cut out the ability to have canonical URLs in general – I just want to refresh or repair these existing issues.

mysite.com/page1 and mysite.com/page2

Both pages have similar content, but I want search engines to index only the canonical version of the page (in this case, mysite.com/page1). I have no idea where to add . Thanks

Canonical URL issue with Simple Job Board plugin

Yoast is not fetching the correct URL in canonical URL and schema.

I created a new WordPress setup with default theme and only 2 active plugins, Yoast SEO and Simple Job Board.

Default slug for job archive page is ‘jobs’ and user can update the slug from plugin settings. In my case I updated it to ‘careers’. However when I check the schema and canonical URL, it shows ‘jobs’ instead of ‘careers’.

I installed this plugin with Yoast SEO on a new WordPress setup. Activated Twenty Twenty-Three theme.

I changed Jobpost Custom Post Type Slug from ‘jobs’ to ‘careers’ in the Job Board settings.

When I check canonical URL and schema of archive page, it still shows /jobs/. This must be updated to whatever the post type slug entered from the settings.
