Can't log out, 404 page not found

When I try to log out from the admin interface using the upper left menu, I get my standard 404 page and the URL is /wp-login.php?action=logout&_wpnonce=6bafa774a0

I’ve tried:
-emptying the cache (WP Super Cache)
-disabling ALL plugins including the cache
-switching to Twenty Sixteen theme
…at this point I still can’t log out.

I’ve tried multiple browsers with no luck. Help!!

Logged into my site today and clicked the “Update to WordPress 4.6” – It looks as if I’m still logged in, since I can see the top black nav bar with my name, “customize” and the “Howdy. However, selecting any of these, even to log out, returns a message:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_raise_memory_limit() in /home/content/54/7966354/html/wp-admin/admin.php on line 141

Tried restoring a backup from yesterday, and trying a new browser, but it looks as if I’m locked out.

Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks!

i need your critical help.. i have been around this for almost a day.. right now

You might have heard this error before.. but when a user logs out of my website… the error”You are attempting to log out of …” is coming out…

i have tried all the help…
especially this one

Hi,
My colleague and I are both users on our WP site. We were both working away no problem this morning on our own logins, and then something went weird. When he went back to him computer, it showed that I was logged in. Also, even when I log out, an try to go to the site, it shows the admin bar at the top and says I am logged in still. https://www.wwfc.ca/wwfcca/ But when I go to the WP-admin page, it wants me to log in.

Can't log out after enable Hide Back End

I made the upgrade… til then a lot of problem. I deleted the plugin, reinstall it, reactivate it… everything’s ok, but just one thing :

when I enable hide back end… I can’t log out… I’m redirected to the dashboard… ?!

any idea ?

Hello,

I am fairly new to WordPress and although I saw a few posts in the support forum about this subject, I still don’t understand why I can’t log out from my admin panel. I have cleared my cache and cookies in my web browser (safari 5.0.6). I am stuck on the page saying “are you sure you want to log out?” What should I do?

Can't Logout Firefox or IE

It takes me 12 – 18 attempts all one after the other to logout of WordPress.

I’ve updated the files. I’ve deactiveated all plugins. I’ve changed the theme to the 2012 theme. And the only way i can logout using Firefox or IE (I don’t use chrome) is to hit the logout link at the upper right of the wordpress admin area a dozen or more time one after the other. over and over again.

I run a ecommerce site and when i click the log out link within my header on my main home page it takes me out of the secure ssl side and logs me out and with the log out link changing to log in as it should, but when I try to view a product or another page, the log out link reappears. when i click on in it takes me to the home page with the log out changing back to login. this does this with whatever page i click, or if i log out under another page it other than my home page it takes me back to home with the log out changing to log in, but once i click another page the log out button comes back, never seems to make the log out link disappear. Please help?

can’t log out of my WP when using IE 8
FF, Chrome, Opera fine. on pc. on MAC, FF, safari, opera, camino all work.
so, it’s only IE 8 on my PC, with windows XP
getting this message.
“You are attempting to log out of Green Spot Antiques, GALT (Cambridge), Ontario, CanadaDo you really want to log out?”

note: in notes below, USERIDCOOKIE is usually the user ID or cookie , some alphanumber like f973liie9s changed for security here

I know… somethinging the IE settings…. but what?
I installed IE 8 again recently… so that’s probably the issue.
But my problem is… if I get this result from a simple reinstall of IE 8 then… umm what’s a normal user going to do?

I’ve allowed cookies, set privacy zones to low or medium. etc. etc.
in no way can I log out while using IE. and this applies ONLY to IE8 for me.

The login will take you to the store area. But if you want to log out, it takes you to a page that states the following, with the page header stating “WordPress Failure Notice” ::

Do you really want to log out?

After you click that you do, it takes you to the WordPress Admin window. It should be taking you just to the home page.
I have deactivated all other plug-ins seeing if that was the issue. It’s not, any idea what this could be?
