Podcast Player On Mobile SUCKS With The New Update

Otherwise nice plugin, but the latest podcast player literally SUCKS when viewed on mobile!

I mean, comeon, most people watch and listen to podcasts on smartphones these days…

The player gained height, has tons of unnecessesary empty space, literally expanded our mobile episode pages to oblivion,

and most of all the subscribe and share buttons in it seem to be totally out of balance, as if the programmers of this plugin did not even care about the mobile appearance !!

Please return the plugin height to the original dimension when viewed on mobile, and also make its elements look at least a bit well-arranged on mobile phones AS THEY WERE BEFORE YOUR LAST UPDATE.

SSP Widgets not saving in Avada

I’m trying to set up the Podcast: Series player on this page and the widget is not saving when I update the page. The widget block just says “No widget selected.” I can get every other widget to save except for the podcast-related ones. I’ve tried using shortcodes in code blocks with no success either.

Any work arounds or solutions to this?

I’m hoping someone can help!

I am using the Castos plugin to create a podcast on my website and have used castfeedvalidator to check the feed. The image is the correct size but it isn’t being found.

X FATAL: The requested URL returned error: 404 Not Found. Failed to download artwork from https://www.noorworks.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/07/NoorWorks_PC.jpg. Did not finish artwork tests.

Would really appreciate some help on this as I’m keen to go live with the first episode.

I can’t say enough about Castos as a high-touch podcast hosting provider. I was using Castos with Seriously Simple Podcasting plugin on my WordPress site, and my site unfortunately got infected with malware. I couldn’t access my WordPress site to upload a new episode, and my feed was broken.

The Castos team quickly got me on track with instructions to switch my podcast feeds over to the direct Castos URLs, and the fact that it was so simple was absolutely great. There’s a separate issue to be aware of if you’re running your own WordPress site without too much experience (like myself)… but boy am I glad that I chose to host my podcast episodes on Castos instead of putting them directly on my WordPress site. They would’ve all been lost.

Cost effective, ability to have multiple shows on the same account, easy Spotify integration, and super fast and effective support…. all reasons this is my podcast platform of choice now.

Where are the analytics?

In a previous support topic ( https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/lots-of-other-plays-seem-to-be-amazon-aws/ ), I brought up that the listen numbers seemed odd. The last response was that there was work being done on a “completely new analytics platform for Castos” that would be rolling out in “the next week or so.” That was almost 4 weeks ago and I have seen nothing changed on the castos.com analytics. If this was just that the plugin didn’t display the stats I wouldn’t be as disgruntled, but also having no other helpful analytics on Castos really frustrates me. As we are paying for that part, and have had much better analytics in the past from other paid hosting, this is what grinds me a bit. Any updates as to what happened to the plan for providing basic analytics other than a listener count that displays most plays as “Other”?
