Anytime I edit a category that has products in it, the product links immediately get redirected to uncategorized. For example, url.com/shop/category/product becomes url.com/shop/uncategorized/product. The page is then not found.
I have checked my permalink structure and that is not the issue. If I delete the category and readd the products it works but when I go into to add an image to the category or edit the SEO the category immediately becomes corrupted and the links start redirecting to uncategorized.
This is happening on my staging site so I am unable to share the URL.
This is absolutely driving me crazy.
Here is a chat transcript from my hosting provider.
[12:40:13] Alex G: Alright, I just did two things. The first one, I set up WordPress to debug mode. The second one, it seems the staging site ran WP Rocket at one point, and it was set to cache from it. I had already flushed WordPress’ cache, so I set it to not cache just in case
[12:40:28] Alex G: Can you please try making a new category change to see if we get anything in the debug log?
[12:41:49] Mr Chris Norris (racbel2): Okay I edited the waterproof flooring category. It was working and now it is broken.
[12:44:21] Alex G: The debug log is only showing a warning for smart-logo-showcase-lite, unfortunately
[12:46:00] Mr Chris Norris (racbel2): Hmm. At this point it seems like I need to delete Woo and its DB entries and start over.
[12:46:43] Alex G: I’d suggest checking in with them, it may be a known issue or conflict. I tried a search online and wasn’t able to find much, so I’d start directly with them before deleting it altogether

This is what is displayed:
[catlist id=9 date=yes date_tag=div date_class=lcp_date title_tag=div title_class=lcp_title numberposts=10 content=yes]
Can anyone offer a reason why this has happened and how to fix?
Thanks!
To exclude category “videos” I add a simple string of code, found in the wordpress codex, just before the loop. It works fine, no “video” posts show up in the blog feed, but if I advance from the home page to page 2 or 3 or 4 ect… of the blog feed I get the same posts (my latest posts).
I have removed the code I inserted into the template and this is definitely the issue. Does anyone know why this may be happening and a workaround so that I can exclude a category successfully?
Here is my website: Ignore The Lies
Thank you.
]]>If I try and add a category that I previously had, it tells me I can’t as this category already exists. The categories are obviously in there but are NOT showing or associating with current posts.
I have updated to 3.0.5 but this has not helped in any way.
Any ideas or tips? I had a play around with phpMyAdmin but I really am not sure what I’m doing in there.
Any tips???? Thanks folks!

If it isn’t “looping” then what?
Please help me.

]]>Just noticed this on my site today. All seems well on it until I click on an ‘Category’ on the side bar and my whole side bar gets pushed down to the bottom of the page.
Please see here:
https://www.newbizblogger.com/category/how-to
Also, this only occurs with some categories – not all.
I recently changed my opt in form, so thought it may be that, but when I switched back to the old one, I still get the same result.
Any ideas???
Thanks!
