People who got the 1.5.3 release PLEASE re-grab the .1 bugfix — CG-Referrer wasn’t tracking ANYTHING due to a bug in the new tracking variables. Thanks, and sorry for the mixup!
Changes:
CG-Amazon:
– Moved the Amazon README file to the top level directory
– fixed missing unicode functions error.
CG-FeedRead:
– now handles picking the right URL out of multiple HREFs per feed.
CG-Inline:
– now defaults forceContentClears to FALSE, as some themes showing issues
CG-Referrer:
– DEFAULTS TO NO BLACKLISTING. Read the readme for updated usage instructions, as there’s a lot of new documentation in there (and may need some tweaks). Basically, there’s now four globals that can be set in wp-config.php to control what gets tracked, and what gets validated/blacklisted (and whether blacklisted referrers get bounced).
Any Qs, fire away!

Does anyone know how to change this order, .e.g. putting the timestamp first, then description etc. just so one can customize this exactly as they like
I have some more questions but lets start with this one. Thanks
]]>Top ticket items (README.txt for more…):

– the _target redirect is now under global variable control.

– CG-Amazon content encoding updates, random-item bugfix
– CG-Feedread improved output wrappering, multifeed
– CG-Related back functioning again
– CG-SameCat back functioning again
Let me know if folks find any additional WP 1.5.1 compatability issues — or anything else for that reason!

]]>Numerous minor revisions across the board, including some hack prevention code, new [meta] CG-Inline for displaying post meta/custom tags in the body of the post, blacklist update for CG-Referrer and CG-Antispam, CG-Feedread now plays nicer in the sidebar, and CG-Referrer got a bit of an overhaul. Not a required update, but wanted to get some work/fixes out to folks, and seems stable enough to call it ‘beta’ now.
Read the CHANGES.txt file for more details. Let me know if folks run into any issues.

and alluded to the fact that there were nine more. Could you elaborate by listing what the other nine are? Their values? I’m particularly curious whether there are variables that relate to “comments,” including a link to invoke the comment dialog from the underlying blog.

The entries should display in the bottom right hand side but I haven’t got this to work quite yet. It’s obviously trying and working, but not the way I need it to.
Please advise.
Thanks in advance

1.5a8
CG-Feedread:
– CSS class .cgfeed now wrappers any given feed that’s output
– new wrapper div around title graphic for positioning/CSS
– updated cgfeeds.php sample page for incorporating an ‘independent’ page with newsfeeds into your overall site/theme.
CG-Amazon:
– added support for new stores US & Intl
– added improved support for Wishlist lookups
– fixed bugs in AssociateID assignment
– new cga-config controls over Wishlist output fields
– better error handling when cache files can’t be written to.
– fixed bug in annotation/note output
CG-Referrer:
– new three-dashes-is-spam domain name check — rather eat the false-positive once in a while, and pre-catch spammers better. This will eventually go into my ‘graylist’ moderation system…
– lots of code cleanup, removing unused portions
– heavy optimization of the flushbots and purge processes, good when you need to clean out 100K entries…
CG-Blacklist:
– catching latest spammers, another few dozen entries both domains and keywords
– added two worm-bots to the excluded bot list
CG-WhatTunes:
– support for WinAmp “Now Playing” plugin’s HTTP POST blogging.
– trying to reorder when to strip slashes from incoming text, as some people seeing slashes stored in tracktunes.txt, which is incorrect.
I am well new to this. I just created my wordpress blog for my companies intranet and it seems to be working well. Everyone loves it.
I have one problem. I am new to PHP and would love to create an RSS feed from companies like Yahoo finance or Bloomberg news.
Can anyone help this poor soul out. Cheers
Newbie
