]]>I have a general question about the appropiate settings for a good wordpress install.
My hosting gives an option to check CGI or FAST-CGI. I’m not sure if and when I have to check these options. I would like to know the following.
The error I see when uploading a new image is, “post-processing of the image failed likely because the server is busy or does not have enough resources. Uploading a smaller image may help. suggested maximum size is 2500 pixels.”
I’m testing with a tiny .png, just 8KB and 303×25 pixels
php settings: post_max_size 16M, max_upload_filesize 16M, memory_limit 512M, max_execution_time 300
While wordpress is attempting to upload the image, cgi/fastcgi maxes out the CPU. There are no php errors added to the debug log when the upload fails.
I’ve tried disabling all plugins and changing the theme to twenty twenty and twenty twenty-one.
So, I’m officially out of ideas on ways to fix this issue and am wondering if anyone else has ideas/has encountered this before.
Thanks!
]]>phpinfo() shows:
PHP Version 7.3.25
Server API: CGI/FastCGI
WordPress Plugin status:
Notice - Header 'Authorization Basic' may not work as expected. Visit https://wp-oauth.com/docs/common-issues/header-authorization-may-not-work-as-expected/
I tryed Solution 2 and 3 with my .htaccess in the root WordPress folder. Still no luck.
Is there a way to use OAUTH2 with FastCGI?
I have full control over my moodle installation (My own linux root server), but the worpress page is hosted on ionos. I have no control over the PHP configuration of ionos.
]]>Before I did anything after installing and activating the plugin other than clicking settings, I get this warning in the dashboard:
The following file was not found. Please make sure the file exists and has write permissions: /home/xxx/public_html/domain.com/
I’m lost. What does it mean?
]]>When I save it, it doesn’t appear in the Http Headers in the .htaccess file. Should it save the settings there or does it do something else?
Thanks

]]>I have been working with test system based on multisite 5.0.3 under NGINX or apache and PHP-FPM (no SSL) on Centos 7. Everything works fine except I can’t edit php files in plugins or themes. I get a “loopback” failure.
Looking into this further it seems that the underlying problem is with Basic Authentication. I have tried countless server and .htaccess configs and cannot get either NGINX or Apache to set the $_SERVER[‘PHP_AUTH_USER’] or $_SERVER[‘PHP_AUTH_PW’].
There is tons of discussion on this topic, but nothing that I would consider definitive. Other than this one (big) issue, everything else seems fine and I have setup and can run three test subdomains.
So, can this work, or does Multisite truly require Mod_php?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Mike

Are there incompatibilities with the Secure Cookie header that I’m unaware of that’s causing this or is the syntax provided by the plugin wrong? Or?…
Thanks.
