2 urls one that updates one that doesn't for my blog..need help bad..

So our site is www.winloverback.com and it’s hooked up to wp and my problem is there is two urls www.winloverback.com and www.winloverback.com/blog2 and only the url with the /blog2 updates when I want my main url to update. I know it’s confusing and two people have tried helping me before and nothing worked..I just want my website to be up and running, it’s been over a month now…

So our url is winloverback.com but all our content goes to winloverback.com/blog1

How do we change this winloverback.com/blog1 url to have all our content on the winloverback.com url?

Hi there,

I have now installed the WP to my root domain ex. domain.com
I want to move the blog to a new directory and the URL should be like domain.com/blog. What to do? Simple steps?

(I will create static page at domain.com with no blog functions but I’ll do it later so this is not the main problem)

How to do this on the Dashboard?
What should I do at Reading Settings on the Dashborad or should I do
it at General settings to change URL?
Any SIMPLE step-to-step guide?

Working on a site called www.ConwayandWhitman.com.

I did not build or implement the site from the beginning, I just came in later to help manage it. There was a previous version of the site, not on WordPress, and now they are using WP, but all of the WP files are in a file called “newsite” on the server, so now when you go to www.conwayandwhitman.com, it automatically redirects to “www.conwayandwhitman.com/newsite.”

I want the site to go back to only “www.conwayandwhitman.com”. Is this as simple as changing the WP URL and Blog URL in the “Settings” menu within WordPress? Do I need to change anything else? This isn’t domain forwarding since they are not using a different domain, but how do I change this?

i’m feeling rather stupid because no matter what i do, i can’t change my blog’s url. i’ve followed the instructions in the codex but it didn’t work. every time i change it from /WordPress to anything else, i get 404 errors and the whole thing stops working.

my hosting providers were nice enough to let me install wordpress when databases weren’t included in my hosting plan and i already have a website set up so i don’t want the blog to become my primary page. i just want it to have a url that’s not /WordPress.

obviously i’m doing something wrong but i have no idea what.

help?

I want to change the url of my blog.

I went to Options General tab and changed the

WordPress address (URL):

Blog address (URL):

then I changed the name of the directory on my web site’s server

When I click the View site link

I get a File not found error with The referring document was: newurl/wp-admin/

Do I have to edit the wp-admin file with the new blog url?

Do I have to edit a table in the WordPress database?
