I’ve looked at the suggestions to change the CSS code in the header.php section on other forum questions about this issue, but I can’t find the same codes they suggest to change there, and the “header image and color” tab doesn’t allow me to upload a copy logo to it.
Our site was designed by a 3rd party vendor in 2010, and is hosted on Network Solutions (if that info helps/changes anyone/anything).
What should I do to add our logo in so it appears on the mobile version of the site?
]]>Theme: SimplePress
Above is a link to my site, I am new to wordpress and need to change the header on my site from “Salem Printing” logo to our new logo which is currently posted on the homepage.
I have tried troubleshooting but working in such an old version I can’t not seem to figure my way through the interface.
Could someone lead me in the right direction for changing the header on the website?
]]>I have a question about a header in theme Subtle. I hope that someone is willing to help me. I created a new header. This pic larger than required (1280 pixels wide and 416 height, resolution 300dpi), but I can use it without resizing. When I look at the site the header starts at the left side of the screen up until the end of the screen. Exactly how I want it. Now I have to replace the image by another one. I used exact the same size as the other one, but now WordPress tells me that I need to rezise and create a small banner. That is not what I want.
How can I use this picture as a header without resizing, like I did with the first one.
Thanks for helping me!
]]>Basically it is the same header, just with a different name and a slightly different photo of him. The revision was done by a professional graphics designer and I have already uploaded the new .jpg version to my WP media library.
I am a total newbie with css. From what I’ve researched, I thought all I had to do was exchange the “images/oldheader.jpg” with “images/newheader.jpg” (where newheader is the name of the new header jpg file), and save it and it would take. But it does not change to the new header at all when I preview site. What am I doing wrong?
Here is the current header code:
/* begin Header */
div.art-header
{
margin: 0 auto;
position: relative;
width:100%;
height: 146px;
margin-top: 0;
margin-bottom: 0;
}
div.art-header-clip
{
position: absolute;
width:100%;
left:0;
overflow:hidden;
height:146px;
}
div.art-header-jpeg
{
position: absolute;
top: 0;
left:0;
width: 780px;
height: 146px;
background-image: url(‘images/header.jpg’);
background-repeat: no-repeat;
background-position: center center;
}
/* end Header */
I put the line in question in bold. Can anyone tell me what I’m doing wrong? Thank you very much for any and all help!

]]>I guess this is because in the admin panel uploading a header image is separate from customizing a theme…? So changing themes doesn’t affect the custom header…? I guess?? (can you tell I don’t understand this stuff very well
Any suggestions of a work-around? Or am I way off-base, and changing themes should change the header if the plugin is working correctly?

]]>For the top ‘featured’ post, I want the header-title & body text to be larger than the other posts below, and I want the body text to sit above the image. But all the posts are linked and edits I make to the top post affects them all – how can I define or edit a featured post separately to other posts, and have the body text positioned differently?
Thanks in advance.
