I currently use Astra Pro theme and Elementor Pro. I am using Gutenberg now for my blogposts but originally I was using Elementor for every post as well as the pages because I didn’t know better. Anyway — I’d like to revamp the look of my site but I don’t want to start a lot of problems.

Can I download Inspiro Lite, activate it, then delete Astra Pro without making a big mess?

I am not a programmer nor a web developer. Now to install kadencewp theme and migrate all data to it with my adsense txt and ads code plus the plugins is a lengthy process. Please can some one help me with an easier solution to this issue. Help me please as I am a complete newbie help

Themes Not Activating

I set up my hosting through Big Scoots and chose a random theme, with the intent of buying a theme once I got everything set up.

I purchased Foodie Pro by Feast, but cannot get my themes to activate on my site. I have installed the genesis framework, and it says active but my site is still ugly. Even when I view live preview it does not show the correct theme.

I then have tried the free wordpress themes, and they will properly show me the live preview, but once i activate them they do nothing to change the appearance of my site.

I’m changing back from a site I had made for me to one I had before, hence the “old” in the url.

However, a problem I had with the site (and is still there) is that when I changed from an earlier theme, the pages in the original theme are still there on the desktop. The “old” site for the most part works well, but it doesn’t show up in appearance. Compare old.rememberroad.com to old.rememberroad.com/home.

I’ve changed themes with a different site and didn’t have this problem. What did I do wrong, or didn’t do, and what do I do to make it right?

Redesigning a Site with a New Theme on a Staging Site

My company has an internal wiki training site that I am working on redesigning. I’d like to change the theme, add a drag/drop builder plugin, and a couple other new plugins. However, on our current site, we have implemented training courses and a newsletter, which carry large amounts of data in the database. If I copy the whole site over to a staging site using the WP Staging plugin, will I be able to copy back the theme and new plugin data without over-writing existing data for the courses and newsletter plugins? What is the best way to go about doing this?

Additionally, URLs will change and I want to make sure I can cleanly update those as well during the push live.

Our developers aren’t being helpful and are basically trying to do nothing during this process so any tips are much appreciated. It’s going to be a very heavy redesign with the theme change.

Changing Theme

I am working on building my website. I changed my theme but what I see and what other people see are two different themes (I see under “view site” the theme i want, but when people go to my site, they are seeing the old theme). I checked to make sure my theme was active and even deleted any other theme to where the theme I want to be seen is the only theme I have. Yet, people are still seeing the old theme. What do I do?!

I have my site on the Twenty Twelve theme. I would like to switch it to something like Genesis or DeliPress. But I am afraid of losing rankings or having permalinks change (people told me both these things can happen). Is there a way to know what would happen from changing a theme?

Installing themes bought from wordpress.com to other website

I have WordPress based website whose domain name which I bought separately and hosted on bluehost.com
I have liked a theme on wordpress.com and want to purchase it and install it on my website. Before check-out It is asking for some mapping with additional charges. I am ready to pay all charges but how will then it install the theme on my website?
Is this process simple because I am not technically strong?

Hi. My friend is so busy I’m asking on her behalf. She created a website and pages. She changed the Theme to another Theme provider (I don’t think a WordPress Theme) but there was a problem. She contacted them who finally said they couldn’t help and that she needed to revert back to a WordPress default Theme… BUT… she couldn’t. The Theme provider finally advised: “WordPress is a 3rd party application which is outside our area of expertise, therefore, please contact a web developer for further assistance with this issue if switching to the default theme won’t work.”. Now she’s resorting to creating another new website because she is unable to revert back to a WordPress Theme, e.g. 2016. Can you help please? Is she able to find a way of retrieving an older version of her previously published website BEFORE she changed her theme to the new provider? Thanks.
