Change of Webhosting provider

I have recently changed web hosting providers. My site connected to wordpress still carries the old WordPress hosting site URL which has the above URL. I would like to change this to the new one. My old URL is a temporary one and I need to change it to the actual URL. Please advise.

Changing domain name in WP site?

We lost our domain name due to the agent having dementia and failing to renew it. We got the same domain with the .ORG instead of the original .COM. I am trying to figure out how to recover the WP website and install the new URL. I can’t use the admin backend because now the domain name was purchased by a url farm. I still have the database on the host and can see it in PhpMyAdmin. And I can download the database.

Any ideas?

Multisite Subdirectory “mapping” to subdomain

My wordpress is subdirectory multisite and recently, I need to create a subsite with subdomain format that stay managed with my multisite (not separated web), is there a way to manage this? I already create subdomain and try to change site url in /network/site-info but its show error 404 , basically the mapping will like this
website.com/writing/ to writing.website.com

We imported our site from WordPress.com, and its hosted under a box.temp.domain. We registered a URL with Go Daddy, and just trasnferred it to Blue Host, our hosting platform for our wordpress site. Now we want to change the URL from the temp domain to our registered URL. Is there a way to do this without losing all of our content and/or crashing our site? Not super tech savvy, so hoping there is a relatively simple solution.

How do I change the /carmelcopia-2/ page to read /carmelcopia (without the “-2”)?

Yes, I did try to figure this out on my own (in the Menus section), but every time I tried to amend the /carmelcopia.com page the menu just kept on creating a new page (ie: /carmelcopia-3, /carmelcopia-4).

Or, alternately, is there a way to transfer the content from the /carmelcopia-2/ page to the /carmelcopia page? The /carmelcopia-2/ is a “media” page. I can’t just drag it into the “Menus” section (or can I)?

too many images in one directory

We built our word press site in 09 2018. Our website is very heavy image based to showcase what we do. What we didnt realise is that all the images loaded into one folder called 09/2019 in wp content / uploads. We are moving our site from HG to Go Daddy and when they tried to migrate they told us that this file was too heavy and we need to break it into sub folders. We have tried this today both using filezilla and also manually on cp panel file upload. The issue we have is we couldnt change the URL so the new images we moved were showing the old URL and linking to the old folder and not new folder. Was told to try Velvet Blue and that isnt working either. Now im stuck with a website overloaded and not running properly under Hostgator who told us to move to a new provider. Go Daddy cant migrate because of this folder and its severly impacting us. I really need help as we have been working on this for over 6 weeks and no further forward and neither HG or GD are really helping us. Thanks in advance

Can′t access admin page

Hi Guys,
I have tried to search the support forum, but I can′t find a solution for this, please help me..

First of all, I am a complete newbie when it comes to this kind of things, my website www.forsikringshjelpenas.no was my first website, as you would understand if you could check it out.

I was trying to do some work on my site, so I tried to shut it down for while I was working on it. Obviously I did not shut it down the correct way, since I can′t access the admin page again. Somehow I removed the .no , and now I can′t do anything at all because I can’t get in to my admin page. When I type inn the correct address + wp-admin, it says that Safari can′t find the host “www.forsikringshjelpenas.” .
I have read on the forum (https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Changing_The_Site_URL) that I should access the wp-config file and define the WP_HOME file, but the thing is that I do not have a WP_HOME file in my wp-config.php file. What do I do?
Did you even understand my problem?
Any suggestions?
