I wanted to install the CJT Plugin on my website. Unfortunately the installation is stucked in point four (‘Add WordPress built-in scripts and styles as CJT Templates so it can be used throught Templates Lookup form.’) and not moving.
I’ve tried to deactivate and activate the plugin. Didn’t work. I’ve deleted the plugin and downloaded new. Didn’t work. Still stuck at the same place.
I’m using the Avada Theme on wordpress. Does anyone know what could resolve the problem?
Thanks for your support!
Best Regards
Stefan
Just a heads up.
I have been planning to resurrect the project for both the free version of CSS & JavaScript Toolbox and the premium extension, which I intend to call CSS & JavaScript Toolbox ELITE. This will be a new direction for CSS & JavaScript Toolbox that will have PHP issues fixed and be fully compatible with WordPress version 5.2+ and the new Gutenberg editor. I think there is a lot of potential for CJT to work with the new editor, inject some much needed funds for the project to continue, and most importantly, make a great addition to your WordPress development toolkit.

Great plugin!
]]>We got problems with the installation of CJT. After loading the plugin into WP one has to install it. There are 5 points polled one after the other:
1? Create database tables.
2? Creating file system directories (e.g wp-content/cjt-content/templates).
3? Add CJT built-in authors used by templates system.
4? Add WordPress built-in scripts and styles as CJT Templates so it can be used throught Templates Lookup form.
5? Finalize Installation.
The first 3 points worked, but the installation hangs on point 4. The server log reports:
WordPress-Database-Error Table ‘DBxxxxxx.wp_cjtoolbox_templates’ doesn’t exist
We scanned the database and found some tables named wp_cjtoolbox_…, but not wp_cjtoolbox_templates. So we created this table by hand, but this didn’t work.
So we decided to make a complete new installation. We erased the plubin from WP. The abovementioned tables remained in the database, so we killed them by hand and the remaining serverside directory cjt-templates, too. (This directory existed, but is was empty. The database table didn’t exist).
After this we started the new installation. After loading the plugin into WP the abovementioned 5 points appeared again during continue with the installation. But now the first 3 point are still checked before clicking the install-button. After clicking the button the installation hangs with the same error. But now neither the database tables nor the directory cjt-templates were created. The system is still thinking that this is already done, i suppose.
Our questions:
? How can we force the system, to make a complete new installation of CJT, in order to poll the first 3 points, too? Is there anything anywhere we have to reset or delete before?
? Maybe the abovementioned error will happen again during a new installation. What shall we do then? Does anybody knows this problem and solved it?

I hope each and every one of you have enjoyed developing with CSS & JavaScript Toolbox.
As you may know (if not please read the IMPORTANT NOTICE post), we have dropped support and updates for CSS & JavaScript Toolbox.
This decision was not taken lightly. The mistake was done early in the game where we provided too many features for CJT free. Although this is great for charitable causes, giving back, community spirit, reviews and ratings, etc, this does not support us developers with income nor does it support our families.
So we brainstormed and tried so many strategies to boost CJT PLUS. From paid advertising and free giveaways to a desperate attempt at threatening to remove features from CJT free to persuade CJT PLUS purchases. This was mere WordPress sacrilege and it was a mistake to even mention it. I am glad we never went through with it.
Thanks to a CJT supporter who knew our predicament and did not want to see the solution wither and die, he suggested we do a name change and a rebrand to represent something more appealing – something that could easily be found on the repository. Easy Code Manager was born.
Then the complexities arose.
Firstly, we wanted to do right by all our CJT PLUS customers so we provided a free upgrade to Easy Code Manager PLUS. This has been – well a headache to say the least. The complexities involved was astronomical and the CJT to ECM migration as a number of CJT PLUS users would testify has been somewhat challenging. For starters, we could only migrate Code Blocks and Templates and not Assignments and Shortcodes, which means those that chose to migrate would have had to rebuild their Code Block connections again.
Anyway, this is where we are at now. The premium Easy Code Manager PLUS is a great product – it has a number of benefits and features more than the CSS & JavaScript Toolbox PLUS plugin. Those that take advantage of it without installing or even knowing about CJT would certainly feel these benefits. True, that Easy Code Manager free is light on features, but this is the sustainable model that we needed to do.
Why the total transparency? and why NOW???
I am at crossroads at the moment. I feel like CJT free should still be updated with bug fixes and ensuring compatibility with the latest version of WordPress. CJT PLUS should also be updated with similar features as ECM PLUS.
That said, I will NOT provide any new features for CJT free.
My minor concern is the challenge to manage two seperate solutions CSS & JavaScript Toolbox and Easy Code Manager. The major concern is how to finally start earning income for this solution, and be able to redirect a good proportion of the funds back into research and development to make the solutions better.
Thanks for your time in reading this rather long post.
I am looking forward to anyone who wishes to reply and express his or her views, issues, or recommendations. Your feedback will all go towards a very important decision for both solutions in the future.
Let’s get this conversation started!
Kind Regards,
Damian Baker
I’m sad that the developers want us to forcefully purchase the paid version. They are removing options that were given out free. That makes this software a piece of ransom-ware: “If you want to keep your website working as it does you need to pay us”.
Please, don’t remove the ability to assign this to tags, custom post types and the auxiliary. Please don’t take out the ability to assign it to a footer. Please don’t remove the ability to turn on/off a code block.
(Sigh)
Edit: I’m changing my calification, because i saw the developers positive reaction of the developer to my opinion. But i still want to see the future of this project and if it becomes a nice drop-in of the old CJT plugin.
]]>The only hitch is that the short code is different. I found the new shortcode under Panel > Information in the plugin settings. After replacing the old short code with the new one (e.g. [ecm name=’yourcodeblock’]) all worked fine.
That’s the only use I have for it right now, so my testing is very limited. That’s why I gave it a 4 instead of a 5.
It’s running the Javascript calculator at
https://www.powertoexplore.com/calorie-calculator/ if you want to see it at work.
The code seems to execute on pages that don’t match the expressions.
In addition, how should Uris be entered with https:// or /MySite.com/targetpage?
]]>Any help from the great developers of this plugin? Help is much appreciated at this point.
Thanks!
