I am trying to setup Cloud Front in W3TC plugin. My origin in Cloud Front setup(pre configured already) is origin.example.com and my site url is in this format – www.example.com. In Performance -> CDN, origin is shown as www.example.com instead of origin.example.com. Amazon Cloud Front (Origin Pull) is already selected and saved in General settings of W3TC. How to change the origin from www.example.com to origin.example.com in Performance-> CDN ? If its not possible, then should i use Generic Mirror for Cloud Front? If i use Generic Mirror then i will lose out on the invalidation feature from W3TC. Please do assist on this issue.
]]>I did the CDN setup using (Amazon CloudFront Over S3). But even with Read, Edit, Write, and Delete permissions, I have the error.
By checking some blogs and Youtube videos, I see that people make S3 all public, and if I set up my S3, it works. But I believe that it could not be all public, such as the option to write and delete objects. I believe this should only be done with IAM credentials.
Am I right?
If so, can anyone share the minimum settings to apply to the AWS IAM?
Thanks.
]]>My company has a website running wordpress on Amazon’s infrastructure.
Recently we started having an issue where our S3 objects (images) reduce their size from their regular, to ZERO bytes.
I checked S3 versions history and saw that the images were really changed by something in my application (below is the link to the S3 versions example).
The image uploading process happens through only wordpress (no third-party plugins), and wordpress does its resize. After that, a plugin called “W3 total cache”, uploads all the image sizes to S3 and starts using the cloudfront’s URL to make references to the images.
The application doesn’t have any command to edit images. It just shows them.
Does anyone already faced something like it? Can it be on WordPress? Or W3 Total Cache is corrupting it?
