Pasting HTML code into “New Post” area

Hi everyone,

I need a little help. When I got to the “Write a post” section of the dashboard the only area I’m allowed to paste anything into is under the “visual” tab which isn’t what I need. I’m just wanting to paste simple HTML into my new page but the “code” tab will not work.

Have any ideas? Suggestions?

And yes I’m going to update to the new 2.3.3 version shortly.

Issue with Writing/Editing Post Body

Hello all,

i am having an issue with by WP install when I write or edit a news post. While I am typing in the “Visual” tab, everything looks good, there are line breaks and everything that I put in. In this example I will not even touch any of the buttons that would change styles, I am just typing text and pressing enter for a new line or 2.

When I switch to the “Code” tab, all of the line breaks are ignored and there is just a long string of text, all of the paragraphs are mashed together, and I have to go back to the Visual tab I have to go in and manually use the “Alignment” buttons on each paragraph just to get the paragraphs to have the proper breaks between them.

Even if I don’t switch to “Code” view and simply press publish, the same thing happens. All of the text appears as one long paragraph, all line breaks are ignored, and I have to go back and manually add everything to get the styling back.

How to I make WordPress automatically wrap paragraphs in the p tag OR how to I make WordPress automatically convert line breaks into the BR tags?

Tiger Style Admin ruins my writing space

I’s using the Tiger Style admin plugin which looks awesome but when I go to write a post, it pushes everything aside and looks like this:

This only happens when I click on the ‘Code’ tab and I have no idea what is making it do that, any help?

Hey people, first post here.

I have just started using wordpress and everything has been running fine up until this morning when i added the NextGEN gallery.

The installation went fine with no problems at all, the problem i am having though is getting the gallery to display in a new page.

I go to create a new page and i wish to use the tag [album=id,extend] to display my gallery

Now the problem is that when i click on the code tab nothing happens, i can only enter the code in the visual content tab so obviously when i publish the page it just displays a blank page with the above code in it instead of showing a gallery.

Up until installing NextGen i had no know issues with this, and i’m very confused at why this has happened.

If anyone can help with this issue i’d be very greatful.

how to make the Same edit tabs as previous WP version?

hello,
I’ve installed WP 2.3 and I think that since then my post edit tabs have changed. befoe that I had a tab for ‘text’ and ‘code’.’text’ had a spell checke and everything i needed. ‘code’ gave me the option to add pics for an outside host. now it’s gone…though my pofile I need to go every time and cange fom test view to code view and the wost thing is that the spell checke is gone, so I need to use external website. very annoying.

how do you fix this back ?

Code View Missing

I have 2.2 installed. When I need to add or edit the code there is NO Code view tab. What happened to it? I did a repair just in case my install was bad, but everything appears to be working OK, I just do not have the Code View Tab. When working with plugins and you need to add code there is no place to add code.
