to enable the featured in home, set:
use custon fiel: featured + full url image as value

and to enable the thumbnails in home, i have set permission 777 in all folders and sub folders in my comfy theme, and when you do a post the theme will get some image in your post and show as thumbnail … this solved my problem, you can test this

Problem: Sidebar does not show up on posts. It does, however, show up fine on pages.

I’ve reuploaded the original single posts templates, as well as the sidebar template to no avail.

It does have a lot of coding in place to look to see if it is a “Single Post” or a “page” or a “category” in place, but not sure if that is the issue either.

Here is the sidebar coding:

I checked the header.php, index.php (both for the theme, and in the root directory), and I don’t see those characters anywhere. Has anyone that has used this theme before run into this?

I recently purchased the Comfy theme, I did put in a help desk ticket with DeluxeThemes, but thought i’d try here as well while I wait for a reply from them.

Basically the Comfy theme uses the timthumb php script, and the theme looks for custom field “screen”. If “screen” (i.e. an image) is found, then it will automatically populate the image. The problem I’m running into is that I use a drop down menu plugin (Post Avatar), which notes the custom field is called “postuserpic”.

I went into the builtin-functions.php file, and changed the following:
$thumb = get_post_meta($post->ID, 'thumb', true);
changed the above to
$thumb = get_post_meta($post->ID, 'postuserpic', true);

That resulted in getting a white page, and I was not able to access any part of the site. The only way to fix this was to reupload builtin-functions.php.

Does anyone that is familiar with this theme have any recommendations to get this working? It’s pretty much the last thing I need to work on before making the new theme live. Thank you.
