When I press the “test” button, the connection failed message appears. And I get the following message:
“The following memcached servers are not responding or not running:
This message will automatically disappear once the issue is resolved.”
I have checked with my hosting service to see if they are blocking connections and they responded that they did not apply any type of blocking.
What could be happening?

Thanks for this wonderful plugin! I do not have a support request but a suggestion for improvement.
On one of my client’s sites we were unable to use the plugin because it gave connection-failed
and hostname-mismatch
errors. A bit of debugging then provided the answer. By default, the plugin uses the file_get_contents
function to retrieve the appropriate ReCaptcha URL and then validate it. Unfortunately, sometimes the PHP flag allow_url_fopen
is set to false, causing file_get_contents()
to fail.
It would be great if you could add a checkbox in the settings to allow the user to switch to CURL. All you would have to do is change line 206
in inc/core.php
from
$captcha_obj = new \ReCaptcha\ReCaptcha( $secret_key );
to
$captcha_obj = new \ReCaptcha\ReCaptcha( $secret_key, new \ReCaptcha\RequestMethod\CurlPost() );
Thank you!
]]>Since few days, I have an issue with the checkout.
If it’s the first time you call the checkout or if you update your cart and go to the checkout. When you submit the payment after filled the form an error appears
The message is in french but should be something like in english
“The connection to the WooCommerce payment failed. Check your connection or try later.”
When you get this message if you submit it again just after – even later – it works…
I tried to rollback WooCommerce and WooCommerce shipping and tax.
I deactivated all cache system.
I am using VivaWallet so I tried to rebuild the link.
I tried to deactivate all not necessary plugin
I tried to deactivate few minutes wordfence.
and obviously I tried all above at the same time.
Do you have an idea?
Thank you.

Today I discovered that over LTE as well as a local Starbucks wifi, on separate devices, I cannot access your website.
I discovered this after the past week or so of being unable to use WangGuard on a site it’s been installed on for a couple years because of this error message:
“The key below was previously validated but a connection to wangguard.com can not be established at this time. Please check your server configuration. Try to deactivate secure connection to WangGuard API. Go to WangGuard Settings and Disable secure connection to WangGuard server using SSL / TLS. After that Save Options, and save the API Key again.”
My site is getting fake registrations left and right since it’s been deactivated. Please help!

]]>WebSocket connection to ‘wss://public-api.wordpress.com/pinghub/wpcom/me/newest-note-data’ failed: Unexpected response code: 403
The error is reproduced every minute or so. Here’s one blog (not yet active) that is producing that error: https://kultureshock.org.
I’ve already tried turning off all plugins, but the error keeps happening. I have a multi-site setup using the WordPress MU Domain Mapping plugin. I did not turn this plugin off because I’m worried it’ll make a mess of things even if I turn it back on, but as some sites are not producing the error with this plugin active, I don’t think it’s causing the problem.
Here is one of my multi-site blogs that is not producing this error: https://www.falsecreeekresidents.org.
I cannot figure out what is generating this error on some of my WordPress sites but not on others. I have no idea what newest-note-data is. Is it part of the core functionality of WordPress? What response is it expecting?
Any help in stopping these errors would be appreciated, thank you!
