[Your-message] Not Populating in Automated Email

I have the Email Before Download plug-in set up on my site. In the related contact form in Contact Form 7, I have the Mail tab configured to send me an email every time a user downloads a file from my website (which goes through Email Before Download).

The Message Body on that Email tab is set up as follows…

From: [your-name] <[your-email]>
Subject: Printable Download

Message Body:
[your-message]

When I receive the email, the name and email have populated with the user’s information correctly. However, the [your-message] comes through literally as [your-message]. This used to say something like “The downloaded file name(s): Gift Tag Printable”.

Other than working through fixing multiple issues that the latest Email Before Download version (5.0.4) has caused on my site, I haven’t made any changes. I really like to keep track of what’s being downloaded from my site and by whom. Does anyone know why the [your-message] field isn’t getting populated?

Receiving emails from some pages but not others

I’m using contact form 7 for a simple contact form. I put this form in a text widget in a footer widget which appears on every page of my site. I get emails sent to me from this form when the form was completed on 4 of the pages. But on the other 4 pages of the site, I do not receive an email. It’s the same form. Same short-code. Same response message. Same everything. Why does this work on some pages and not others?? Anyone know?

I created a new contact form at Contact Form 7. It looks fine but I am getting an empty email.

Here is the code:

when i test the contact form from my home computer it works, but when someone with a @yahoo.com submits a comment i don’t receive the email.

Adding an SMTP plugin will it affect my Contact Form 7 forms?

I already have several forms on a live site that are successfully using CF7. I have recently been working on adding a quiz section that is using a great plugin (on which I had some custom changes made).

I’m having trouble getting the quiz plugin result emails sent. It says they are getting sent, but they never arrive. (..at first they did arrive but took about a half hour…now they never arrive)

The plugin author has been super and told me that I should use am SMTP plugin (Easy WP SMTP) and that should correct any issues with the emails not arriving correctly. My question is if I activate and set up this SMTP plugin …how will it affect my existing forms using CF7…will they still work or do I need to make changes on those forms too?

I’m still learning about all of this mail server stuff…

Contact form works fine except that it does not capture the sender’s email address, see below;

Contact Form Outgoing Email Sender Rejected

I am having problems with the outgoing e-mail address sender. I need to use an e-mail address from @neustelsoftware.com which are valid addresses and they run off the same host as @neustel.com. I can get the @neustel.com, @hotmail.com, and @gmail.com to all work but I am getting the Red Box Error message when trying to send from any of my @neustelsoftware.com addresses.

Any help to as why this issue would be occuring would be great.

I don't receive any emails

I have a contact form and when a message is sent, it says it was successfully sent, but I never receive the email. I also never receive an email when new people sign up or anything like that. I have my email adress correctly placed in 2 places. Is there any other thing I may have to change.
