I am sorry but I am a bit rusty, I am trying to set up sub-menus on a WordPress site for a friend. You noticed I set up a sample sub-menu for Books. However, the spacing is hideous. I was trying to read the PHP code for the required gecka-submenu plugin that makes this happen, and the generated HTML code to see the class directives. Is it getting it from my themes, or does the plugin do some on the fly modifications itself. I get confused since some of the elements have custom generated names, and I am not sure where to start.

Migrate Blog & Users to WP.org for Contempt Theme

I have a host ready to use. I want to migrate my WP.com blog to WP.org. I also want to migrate the users associated with their posts. In addition, there is no “contempt” theme for WP.org, but that’s not important because I want to use another theme.

How do I do all this without losing my posts, settings, users, sitemeter hit count, and WP analytic stats?

Are there any Contempt users out there who know how to apply the custom header? This theme does have a custom header, but the option is not showing up in my “Appearances” menu (using WP 2.7).

I am not able to find the place where I can apply a custom header in Contempt. It is not showing up in Appearance > Custom Headers or Appearance > Themes .

I am using WordPress 2.7 because that is the latest version my web hosting company supports currently – could that be the problem?

I have just managed to make my Contempt theme widget aware and added a few widgets, the only problem is the two text widgets do not have the grey borders showing up like the other widgets, how can i make the borders show up??
Any help would be great!

I built a little site at hilly.wordpress.com which I now want to host under a proper domain name so I have bought some space, started wordpress, exported and then imported the file. All the documents etc are there but the themes has not come across.

This was just done using Contempt but I don’t see that one listed within the www.ads-software.com themes. Can I import it?

Major CSS render issues

I am creating a new site and have it hosted at wordpress.com. I have the Custom CSS upgrade. However, whenever I add custom CSS it appears to render both the CSS I enter as well “competing” style sheet (from one of the defaults). The result is of course, jibberish.

So, I tried to revert to one of the free, basic themes. I tried Contept – and from looking at it in Firebug, it isn’t downloading the Contempt images at all, and its still showing remnants of my old CSS. Instead of the contempt CSS I get a blank CSS template with nothing in there except the comment /* mooooooo */.

Is there a way to hard reset all the CSS and start from scratch?

Problem with Contempt Theme displaying extra pages

Hi,

I’ve recently just moved my blog to my own website, having previously hosted it on wordpress.com. The move was successful, and I installed the same theme as I used on wordpress.com, yet it displays in a faulty manner.

In essence, what seems to be happening is that a link to every single page on the blog is appearing under the header, and thus throwing the layout all over the place, but I have no idea why it is doing this.

Any suggestions?
