Can’t change font colors using CSS in Gazette theme

Greetings! We need to change font colors and sizes in the Gazette theme, specifically those on the home page using the free version of Content Views. We want to distinguish the category text from the title text. We’ve tried CSS but color won’t change. We tried text size and decorations and they work. We notice the Colors option under Appearance is blank. Is there a way to change font colors in Gazette? Thanks!

“Posts include only” search not finding pages

We’re trying to add certain pages to a grid, rather than posts. Using the “Query/Posts include only” search, it’s not finding some pages, but has no trouble with others. How can I include a page if it doesn’t come up in the search?

The page in question was created by the Paid Memberships Pro plugin, but it’s listed as a regular page in WordPress.

Custom content in grid?

Can we place custom content into the grid, or does it have to be posts? We’d like to place certain pages, not posts, into the grid, with the featured image and title of the page.

Hiding thumbnail of special post ID in bloglist

I created a nice website

for my tennis club using the theme twenty sixteen. On the starting page (here page ID=40) there are arranged 4 thumbnails linked to the most actual themes, followed by the blog list using the ?content views“ plugin (pt-cv-view ID=0e7aab3kcx).

As an additional feature I want to hide the thumbnail of one special post (here post ID=14515, the post width an animated gif) on horizontal screens of tablets or on PC screens (displaying widgets on the right side) using css code. The @media function for this screen selection is working well – as example I built in black borders for smartphones and red borders for wide screens (just open the website and turn a tablet 90 degrees).

I tried a variety of css codes using

@media screen and (min-width:55.875em) .post-14515 or .postid-14515 .pt-cv-thumbnail {display: none !important;}

or similar but I didn’t succeed to hide this special post.

What is the correct css code for hiding this special post?

Pagination is broken

Hiya’s, my pagination is broken for content views.

I tried disabling all my caching and optimizing plugins because I thought maybe one of them was doing it but even with them all disabled it still wouldn’t load and I have re-activated them.

(It just has an “loading” hourglass whenever you click to browse 2, 3, 4, 5, etc)

This is happening on the browser Microsoft Edge. I haven’t tested it with another browser (Edge is the browser I use to “view as a non-admin”)

Hi, I want to know that whether the content views plugin is compatible with ampforwp plugin because in the google search console showing an amp error – The attribute ‘layout’ in tag ‘amp-img’ is set to the invalid value ‘ intrinsic’. This is a pretty cool plugin — can it be made to work with Content Views Pro?

Using Woocommerce shortcodes — [product_categories columns=”4″] — displays the images just fine.

But it seems that Content Views Pro doesn’t access the same information. Where is the temporary image stored for each category?

Live Filter Issue

I am using CVP to replace search results with a View. When you search and are on the results page, and try to use a filter, it redirects you to the homepage. This is not great behavior. Is there a way I can make it redirect to the main view page (in this case “Catalog”) with the selected filter and show the results?

(Pls note that the site is in maintenance mode and I will need to give temporary creds to see it)

Using Content Views to only show Search & Filter Pro

Hi,

Please could you help me. I had previously set up Search & Filter successfully with the Post Grid plugin. I then changed from Post Grid to Content Views Pro as I preferred the way the grid looked and could be manipulated. My issue is that now I cannot get Content Views to show me the results of the search made with Search & Filter on my result pages. It either tells me that the view may not exist or shows every single item, not the filtered results. There are a few options for users to select such as Location, Region, Accommodation Type, How many people etc. This is all done with Search & Filter Pro and all I want is for the results to be shown in Content Views on the results page.

Please could you point me in the right direction. I am very much a newbie.

Displaying posts by categories challenge

I produce a radio program and are using WP to build a site for it I am working with 2 basic categories: “Radio Broadcast” and “Featured Stories”. I want both of these categories to be selectable/visible on the front page. However, I want only recent posts (probably 3 total) from the “Radio Broadcast” category to initially be visible to the user on the front page… instead of all posts regardless of categories – which is the WP default. I want the user to be able to select on the front page between “All”, and the “Radio broadcast” and “Featured Stories” categories.

The reason for this is because our front page content needs to reflect the current radio episodes and not be intermingled with feature stories that we may post. Otherwise, it could be visually confusing for our visitors who are looking for the current radio episode. At the same time, we want to keep featured stories accessible right there next to the radio broadcasts.

Using a plugin to exclude categories on the front page doesn’t work for us because it prevents the other category – when selected – from displaying the featured stories on the front page. Haven’t come across any plugins that seem to what we’re looking for yet.

For clarity, I am wondering if:
It’s possible to change the default front page display from showing all posts to showing posts from just one particular category… without making the other category unable to display content on the front page if selected. If this is possible, can you help me figure out how to do this?

If not, could a possible workaround be to sort/display all posts on front page by first by category and then date? So, on the front page, “Radio Broadcast” posts by date would show first, then “Featured Stories” posts by date would display next? If that were possible, the post limit would prevent the “Featured Stories” category from being viewable… until that category was selected by user. That would work just as well for us and might be the easier way to go. If this is possible, can you share with me how it could be done?
