About two weeks ago, I posted a question regarding GitHub contributions. I thought it would be in the right place here and could be useful for others in the community as well. I feel that I didn’t write anything offensive, it was a genuinely kind and curious post. For a week and a half, there was no response, and I just noticed that my question was simply deleted. I’m not here to complain, your answers to my questions are still much more important to me, but I must say that I feel pretty bad now. I try to be an active member of the Open Source community and came here with a helpful and kind intention, and you didn’t even deem it worthy of a response. I am honestly confused by the situation. I actually try to believe that it was deleted by mistake, so now, for the last time, I am pasting my previous message from search engine cache. However, if you still feel the questions I am asking do not serve the community’s interests or you do not like it in any way, please delete it again, but I’m asking you to please at least respect me with a response, that I will get in email, even if you remove this topic right after it. I will not send this message again because I do not want to spam you. If you respond and the topic can remain, I kindly ask a moderator to delete this part from my message.

First of all, I want to thank Tom ( @edge22 ) and the whole Generate team for creating such an incredibly useful plugin and theme. I truly appreciate your work and you have truly innovated web development and created an incredibly high-quality product.
To express my gratitude and help as much as I can, I’ve recently submitted 3 bug reports, 2 feature requests, and corresponding 2 pull requests on GitHub to GeneratePress and GenerateBlocks. These contributions were made with the hope of enhancing the plugin and assisting you and the community. However, while it’s true that only a week has passed since my first contribution, and I don’t want to appear impatient, but I’ve noticed that other contributions from fellow developers also seem to receive very little to zero feedback.
I understand that maintaining such projects, especially those that are partially free, requires significant effort and time. My intention with this message is not to criticize, but to seek clarity on a few points:
- Reviews:?Could you please shed some light on how often the GitHub repositories are reviewed? Are there specific times when the team looks at the contributions?
- Feedback on Submissions:?It would be really helpful to receive some feedback to know that our submissions are at least being looked at. This would encourage continued contributions and help manage our expectations.
- Future of Contributions:?Do you see community contributions, like bug reports and feature requests, being integrated into future updates? Are they considered useful and beneficial for the project, or does development proceed according to your own plans and schedule?
I believe that providing this transparency would greatly encourage more contributions from the community and help us all feel more connected and engaged with the project.
It’s amazing to see how quickly you respond to everything here on Support Threads, often within 24 hours. In my humble opinion, GitHub should be equally important because it’s not just users seeking help there, but rather people trying to assist you in improving the plugin.
I look forward to your response and am eager to keep contributing to this project.

I was trying to translate some string and encountered some strange behaviour wit the colorbox display of book’s details.
Looks like field names like “Author:”, “Category:” and many other are not translation-friendly!
I’ve transferred the “WPBookList_Show_Book_In_Colorbox” (located in includes/classes/class-show-book-in-colorbox.php file) class in my functions.php overriding the plugin’s one and fixed some of them in order to use the translated strings.
I’d like to contribute, can I send you the modified class?

Despite all these things my WordPress profile does not displaying a single information related to anything above.
I’m not getting why this issue is appearing, but I suspect it has something to do with my username, my username is in form of email address like [email protected] (This is not my actual username)
Can anyone from WordPress support team kindly help me with this issue? I really need this information on my profile, this is affecting my professional career when passing on profile link to any agency.

I just saw a problem with the WP author box, which is a pity. When I check my authors box, it show the recipes as contributions BUT it doesn’t count them! So many of my authors actually have some (recipe) contributions, but it isn’t count with WP Ultimate recipe. Can I fix this on my own?

]]>I am logged in to google on the admin account for translation management. When I go on to my website and hover over translation to make a suggestion, the final contribution button does nothing, refresh the page, no change was made, no edit in ‘website translation’ in google tools.
