Some of these listings we do not have access to, and we still have our old website in them (ex. www.website.com/losangeles.html)
We want to convert to WP, but fear that when people will click on that old link, they will be taken to a HTTP 404 missing page.
Is it possible when someone clicks on ex. ‘www.website.com/losangeles.html‘ and be taken to the current page ex. ‘www.website.com/losangeles‘ ?
Thanks in advance!
]]>I want to convert/rebuild my company’s website around WP. Much of the site is currently static, with some of it database driven (articles, etc).
Would it be better to recreate each static page (home, reviews, events, multimedia, etc.) as a WP dynamic page, and add my custom HTML pieces to them, or put each of my static pages (converted to PHP) in the WP directory ( /wp-content/themes/themeName ), and add the WP code them. Or is that even necessary? Can I keep the current site organization, convert the static pages to PHP, and add code that way?
Hope this isn’t too confusing.
Thanks!

If so, can anyone point me in the right direction for what steps I need to take in order to make it happen?
I appreciate any and all help. Thank you.
]]>I am new to wordpress, I am a designer but never learned WP, but now I have to. I have designed my website and willing to make it WP like many other website with some static pages control able via admin and blog.
My site is properly sliced and want to convert it to WP and upload. all I need to know is how can I learn how to convert it to WP? zipping it and uploading it will not work as there is no WP code and WP don’t know where is the header of my site and where is the footer.
Can anybody point me some good tutorial converting our own code into WP?
