It started yesterday with the Media Library suddenly refusing to load any thumbnails, although it worked fine as a list and still does.
Then, having updated a product page (Woocommerce) I tried to preview it, only to be met with a blank page. Actually, all of the after-save pages were also coming up blank by that point.
So, I logged out in order to check the front-end of the site and it was fine.
I tried to log in again and was given an error message on the login panel, which said ‘ERROR: Cookies are blocked due to unexpected output’ I don’t really know what that means, despite hunting for info on Google, except that it’s something to do with things being called before the cookies are in place?? I think??
Then I checked the front end again and the non-Woo pages were only showing code.
I tried to log in again but didn’t even get the login panel, just a blank white screen.
Anyway, I was very lucky to find an open admin page on my tablet and have been able to go in and check what I can. The code issue on the frontend pages was caused by 4 vital theme plugins having been deactivated – I KNOW I didn’t do that! – so that was an easy fix.
I had updated some other plugins and naturally thought that was the problem. I deactivated all the site plugins and reactivated them one by one – problems still there. So I tried the site on the 2020 theme and it was fine. It seems to be something in the Child theme causing the issues, but I have no idea what.
Can the child theme be reinstalled without losing all the CSS and other changes I’ve made?
I’m out of options, as I’m no-way an expert, so can someone please read through my tale of woe and help me to get my admin login etc back?
Many thanks.
wp-admin
is blank and when I type wp-login.php
, Its showing cookies error
ERROR: Cookies are blocked due to unexpected output. For help, please see this documentation or try the support forums.
I have already tried to install fresh WordPress and also renaming plugin and themes directory.
]]>Like others, I had cleared my cache and checked the cookies settings were correct.
Then yesterday, after doing further troubleshooting, I couldn’t even get to the wp-admin page. Eventually the page would default me to a search engine with the following URL address;
https://au.search.yahoo.com/yhs/errorhandler?hspart=gt&hsimp=yhse-gt&q=http%3A%2F%2Fmartialartsrecovery.com.au%2Fwp-admin%2F&type=435714
I have had my host (siteground) try to help me with many of their senior tech people but they gave up on me yesterday.
Initially they stated it was an issue with my theme (Themify-Ultra), as they disabled it and were able to access the dashboard through a default theme.
I had just customised a new theme in Themify Ultra to replace an existing WP site.
So far I have done the following troubleshooting myself;
>Accessing the cpanel through a different browser (safari) to re-install WP 4.6.1
>deactivating ALL plugins temporarily via ftp
> tried switching to the default theme by renaming the current theme’s folder in wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the folder name using via FTP.
>I was unable to access the admin panel, when I tried changing to a default theme.
>tried adding the following code in wp-config.php file : define(‘COOKIE_DOMAIN’, false);
but that didnt help so I then removed the code.
As a reference point I have another WP site hosted at the same place, and using the same theme and I have no issues logging into it.
Any help or resources you could provide would be much appreciated.
Thank you
]]>After discussing the issue with my host (hostgator) it turns out that they have upgraded to php 7.0 on 03/31/2016, 2 days later I noticed this login problem. Could that be the root of the problem, and how would I go about fixing it?
Thank you!
]]>i need your help… when i login into the wordpress then it will show error “Cookies are blocked or not supported by your browser. You must enable cookies to use WordPress.” can you plz help me

]]>I have been looking around online for a fix to this problem for the past 2 hours and all the solutions I have seen haven’t work for me yet, thats why I decide to do the post.
First, is the first time using WordPress, I was using dropplets for my blogging but I decided to check out wordpress to see how this one works.
Well, I installed my wordpress in my hosting server last night and did all the steps on the installation guide. I got my database and everything setup.. but when I try to login happens this error, checked of course in different browser and checked my browsers settings and everything seems to be fine from that end.
I have this on my wp-login.php
//Set a cookie now to see if they are supported by the browser.
setcookie(TEST_COOKIE, 'WP Cookie check', 0, COOKIEPATH, COOKIE_DOMAIN);
if ( SITECOOKIEPATH != COOKIEPATH )
setcookie(TEST_COOKIE, 'WP Cookie check', 0, SITECOOKIEPATH, COOKIE_DOMAIN);
which seems to be how it should be based on other posts, I also contacted my Host which is 000webhost and they said that from their end, they can only give me support for my sever that is up and running and not for coding or script support because I don’t have a premium account..
Well, anyways, I also saw this post if ( (!(req.url ~ “(wp-(login|admin)|login)”)) ) { Which, I kinda barely understood because they don’t say where this code should be or is within the files.. I also, must say that Im using whatever theme is enabled by default after the installation of the wordpress.
Well, I hope someone can provide some help and know the fix to the problem, if you guys need more info or something more specific please let me know, I really wanna give it a try to this blogging service.
Thanks!
Everything goes fine and the site is up. But trying to login to the WordPress admin panel on the new domain, I get the above error. Here’s the full error, again:
ERROR: Cookies are blocked or not supported by your browser. You must enable cookies to use WordPress.
I have tried clearing all the cookies and tried logging in using 3 browsers – Chrome, Firefox and Opera – all latest versions. No use.
I also clicked the forgot password option in WordPress and reset the password. The password was reset fine but it didn’t let me login, giving the same above error about the cookies.
I deleted the installation by logging in through ftp and ran the installer.php once again. This time, on the second step, I provided an additional admin user to create. The site/blog was up fine, but once again, I got the above cookies error when trying to login into the WP admin panel.
Can someone help me log into the admin panel? Any more info needed, I can provide. I searched for a solution using the search box, but the solutions which worked for others didn’t work for me, and those problems weren’t related to the Duplicator plugin.
Kind Regards,
Raspal
