Hi all,

“just” a question: anybody has problems with coolplayer plugin??

I use it on multiple websites and now I see instead the YouTube vids only a error message saying “This media can NOT be support to embed into the page, but you can download it by the following link.”…
Is there a change from YouTube to not be able to use it anymore??

I used it for several month, almost a year so I’m wondering. I did not change ANYTHING in my configs of the different websites/URL

Coolplayer Problem

I cannot get my coolplayer working. I specify the URL and title and everything looks fine. However, when I post it, the media player does not show up. It shows a big box with a small red X in the upper left corner. What do I need to do? Thanks.

Slow blog because Plugins Load even when not needed

Plugins such as Coolplayer, WP-Grins, WP-Polls and WP-Table load whether they are needed on the page or not.

My site is slow, and I believe this is a prime reason.

Why do they load when they aren’t needed?
Can I edit them so they don’t?

For example, see www.imagiscape.ca/blog/category/arts/poetryliterature and it’s source.

I disabled Coolplayer (9.01) because of it’s slowness. Could I speed it up by copying the javascript file it fetches from its site and locating the file on my site?

Anarchy Media Player, if I’m not mistaken, also loaded on every page whether there was media to load or not. I disabled it.

CoComment also makes my blog slow.
(I deactivated the Show CoComment plugin and widget, but I once upon a time added some code from a CoComment.com integration/installation instructions. I’ll use the grep command via PuTTY to search for the code, and remove it. From the blog directory: grep -r ‘cocomment’ * .)

ClickTracking also slowed my site – but reasonably. I hope to reactivate it when I’ve got other issues resolved.

AddThis sometimes slows things down, but it didn’t the last time I checked.

HELP !Coolplayer Bandwith issue / FLV embedding

I tried using the Coolplayer plug-in for embedding Flash videos into my posts, but my bandwith went through the roof overnight. Even Googlebots hitting the page was counting as a full download of the video, even if the person/bot never hit play. The strain it put on the servers was unbearable.

I am trying FLVEmbed right now, not quite sure yet if this is also the case, but has anyone else experienced this? I really want to embed Flash video, but only strain the server if you actually want to watch it.

Coolplayer plugin does not work

well I got the same problem, the mediaplayer (windows, flash) appears but it doesn’t work. The code and the link should be okay. Tried all the different settings to see if I did something wrong, even tried several different upload folders on my server. I use WP ver. 2.2
This is an example of the code I am using:

loop="true" charset="utf-8"
download="false" mediatype=".wmv"]
web 2.0  (<--this is a link to the file, https://www.yoursite.**/etc.etc....)

I tried different width/height settings didn’t work. The Fast Tag button doesn’t insert a mediatype, so in this example I tried to insert the filetype .wmv, but that didn’t help either. Somebody got this plugin working?

I’m using CoolPlayer 9.3 with the RPC server hosted locally. I’ve had absolutely no problem getting FLVs to display, but something very unusual happens to the playhead – it shows incorrect loading progress and time remaining. Please have a look here to see what I mean:

Can’t get Coolplayer to work

I uploaded the Coolplayer pluging and the the local files for the rpc server but it still won’t display in my blog. I activated the plugin and the button even shows in my rich text editor or regular editor but when I put the Coolplayer tage and then input a link and then close the tag nothing happens. It seems so simple why won’t it work for me? Is anyone else having problems with this plugin? Not sure if this is related but the extreme video plugin wouldn’t work for me either once I activated it. Any help would be greatly appreaciated. Thanks

Problems with Coolplayer – anyone else?

My Coolplayer plugin has stopped working. When I go to Coolplayer Options in Dashboard and test the RPC Server URL: https://www.coolcode.cn/wp-content/plugins/coolplayer/rpc.php it reports: RPC Server is invalid.

Is anyone else having this problem? Is there anything I should do, or should I sit and wait for coolcode.cn to sort it out?
