However, I would also like a link to a twitter account and web designer in the same place. When I add the appropriate code to the copyright text section it works fine when I am logged in. However, when I sign out the coding is stripped out and the text remains without the links.
Is there something I am doing wrong or is there a workaround to make this work?

I mean ‘Copyright ? 2021 Site title. Privacy policy’ text.
Thanks in advance

As this theme is free, I guess it doesn’t want me to do it. I’ve tried several things- add CSS in Customizer (nothing), trying to change it with editor (couldn’t get there with a child theme), and finally using the change footer plugin (didn’t work). Do I just have to learn to live with it?
Thanks.
]]>I’m trying to replace the “powered by wordpress”text on my site with my business name.
I’m using the twenty seventeen theme.
Most of the advice I get from reading is talking about ‘adding a child theme’, or ‘installing some plugin’ etc.
Thing is…I don’t wanna fiddle with a lot of things that may end up affecting my site’s performance.
I know where to locate the theme options from my dashboard. What I don’t know is what code to use.
Can anyone help, please?
]]>Im using a free theme for a friends website, and the developer allows you to hide or change the footer/copyright text ONLY in the pro version. Tryingto edit the functions even slightly just crahses it all. Obviously as im helping a friend i dont want to buy the pro version, so ive managed to hide the footer text using CSS.
.footer-socket-wrapper .copyright {
display: none;
}
My question is can i alter that CSS text to add my own footer/copyright text with that same CSS (or different CSS if need be)
thanks
