I am not sure how to fix this. I tried re-uploading clean wp-admin and wp-includes folders but I deleted the original folders before doing so because I didn’t know that wasn’t a good idea and I seem to have made it more angry.
I have FTP access and hosting dashboard access. Cannot get into wp-admin via a browser.
Help appreciated. This happened when I tried to upgrade core.
]]>I’m embedding your slider short-code inside a Divi theme content section, and after the WP 5.6 core upgrade it stop working, have you heard from any other similar case when the slider broken after the core upgrade?
Thanks for your help.
]]>We are in process of upgrading our WordPress setup to latest WordPress installation for security purpose.
Details of current setup.
– WordPress 4.9.8
– PHP 5.3
– httpd 2.2 (centos 6)
Proposed setup
– WordPress 5.2.2
– PHP 7
– httpd 2.4 (centos 7)
I’ve referred few article about following topics.
– Migration of wordpress to another server.
– Upgrading wordpress to latest version (on the same machine)
However here we have to upgrade PHP version as well since new WordPress is not supporting the current PHP version (5.3).We also have bunch of plugins available on the current setup which also need to be migrated safely to new server. It would be really helpful if someone can guide us through with the best approach to WordPress/PHP upgrade simultaneously on a new server.
Thanks in advance

]]>I tried to revert to the old version by moving the new files and uploading the older version through FTP to cPanel’s public_html folder. Formatting got better, but wp-admin look changed totally.
Tried to replicate site on XAMPP.
Lastly, followed the manual update procedure in https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Upgrading_WordPress_Extended#Step_9:_Run_the_WordPress_upgrade_program, updated all the plugins as well, but content still doesn’t show up. Find A Trainer and Contact Us work find because there’s additional scripts running there. But otherwise none of the pages have proper content.
Please help.
Thank you
]]>I looked through forums and did not find trace of this issue so am posting it as a new topic.
I upgraded yesterday from WP 3.2.1 to 3.3 (self-hosted website), I use Multisite with 2 sites currently.
There are 3 users : the admin, plus two “Editor” profiles.
When I login as admin I have of course access to both sites, they are listed under “my sites” in the toolbar. but when logged as my editor profile, I had only access to one of the two sites, the other was not visible anymore.
i logged in again as admin, and was able to add the “editor” profile to the second site again, after seeing that is was indeed not listed anymore for that site.
The second editor profile did not have this issue, it had still access to both sites after the core update.
I am now trying to retrace all steps but not sure how to do so without “downgrading” my install and updating it again, which I would like to avoid as much as possible. The only other change I made was adding “Ajax event calendar” to the second site, the one my Editor profile couldn’t access anymore, but I think the issue had appeared before that.
Anyone had a similar issue?

I think wordpress should add a upload function to the core-upgrade.php.
Someone like me can select download the latest-wordpress, and then upload it and upgrade the wordpress automaticlly.
