]]>My Blog is just a hobby; something I can have fun with. I think in over 15 years, I may have 9 followers.
So when it comes to plugins, I don’t want to spend lots of $$
I am also an I.T. professional, so I like simple “set it and forget it” tools.
]]>I can’t fault this tool. It’s list of SPAM IP addresses picks up stuff others in this price range don’t. If you run a blog with comments and/or have a contact form(s), life is just calmer with this type of protection.
I also use WordPress’ own plugin – you can look it up easily. That’s fine too as well as also being cost-effective (you get to choose how cost-effective). But, in one month with one URL, CleanTalk has picked up 6 additional genuine SPAM.
With this sort of protection, there’s no way of knowing how damaging the SPAM that’s blocked (and to which you are alerted) might have been, obviously. So, I can’t relate here what that may have saved my site from.
But that’s no reason not to invest a small proportion of the cost of even the smallest cheaply hosted sight in CleanTalk.
]]>Been using ManageWP for a couple of months now and have had very few issues with the software, the only issues I have had have been related to external/third-party plugins which are awkward to update really so this is not a bad reflection on the ManageWP software. Support is also really helpful and prompt to reply.
At the time of writing, I am responsible for around 40 WordPress installs, so this really does save me a heap of time and keeps everything up-to-date. I highly recommend using ManageWP – go try it out for yourself, you won’t regret it.
