“You cannot post more than once in 15 seconds cowboy.”
However its been hours since I commented. Have done a search in here and found a few clues. Clearing browser cache and cookies did not work.
There is also a post on here about a bug to fix https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/20591?replies=4
however I cannot find that snippet of code in my functions-post.php
Not sure where to go next, can anyone please advise?
]]>I had been using WordPress with PHP4 without trouble for quite a while. After updating to PHP5, the comment flood prevention began failing for every comment post with the message “Sorry, you can only post a new comment once every 15 seconds. Slow down cowboy.”
I had to comment out the entire “//Simple flood-prevention” snippet in the functions-post.php to get comments working. There seems to have been previous bugs related to this issue, but they also seem to have been resolved in the 1.5 release.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you!
]]>I’m sure there may have been other problems, however I had to switch back as the server my blog runs on runs others, as well.
Anyone else have this problem or any luck with the new PHP?
