AIOS locks my site

After installing and saving some changes, when I was editing the file permission changes, suddenly my entire site was locked and a login box was displayed that does not accept any of the defined WordPress users. It is really a disaster that by saving the settings of a security plugin, the whole WordPress is disrupted and unavailable!

By deactivating the plugin through cpanel, the problem is solved, but by activating it, the site is immediately locked and the login page is displayed. Could anyone tell me how to fix this or return the settings of this plugin to the default state without activating it?

When we at Jamaica Homes first encountered BetterDocs, it was a breath of fresh air. We had just transitioned from another external service and were excited to keep everything in-house. The interface felt intuitive and user-friendly, with a look and feel that suited us perfectly. Since we were in a rush, we didn’t do extensive research, but after migrating about 500 documents and starting a glossary, things seemed to be on track. The glossary grew from around 100 terms to nearly 1,500, and our documents increased to over 700. However, as we added more documents, the site became slower on the backend, with the BetterDocs panel eventually taking 15-20 seconds to load. We plateaued at about 1,500 glossary terms when the pro plugin crashed, causing all 700+ documents to disappear. This issue persisted for about a week, resulting in a loss of search engine ranking, among other impacts. Eventually, the plugin developer issued a fix, but it led to a critical error on the site. With no choice but to move on, we discovered that others had encountered similar issues, suggesting a lack of robust testing and quality control. The developers are clearly ambitious, but improvements in user acceptance testing and code quality checks are needed. We’re currently awaiting a refund for the premium plugin that caused so much frustration.

When I ran the update for the plug-in wordpress crashed. I logged in via Recovery Mode and found this error. I’m running WP 6.62 / Theme Enfold. How can I get the plugin functioning again?

The most recent updates have crashed my website and there is zero support from this forum, apparently even if you are an Elementor Pro customer (Paid version of the plugin) there is zero customer support, so i guess you’ll just pay for a bugged plugin and ruin your website until they figure out how t odo customer support. Just look at all the thread they copy paste a random answer just to say they are on it, after that they provide no more answers.

PHP white page after entering password for a protected page.

Hi,

I’m currently getting a PHP white page of death on a password protected page when I enter the password (whether it’s the correct password or not). This is all using standard WordPress functionality.

I wondered if this is a current bug in WordPress? I updated everything so I’m on WP core 6.6.2 and updated all themes and plugins. I then tried deactivating plugins (in case of a clash) until I only had the essential ones left. I tried swapping the theme to a standard one like twenty-twenty-three. And I couldn’t spot anything in the logs. I tried all this, yet still see the same problem.

It seems like v2.9.1 of the plugin is generally causing lots of problems. But I’m getting a different stack trace to everyone else. As far as I can tell from the stack trace, this is entirely within the PayPal plugin.

Based on the version control history, this class was explicitly removed in v2.9.1 but there’s still a use statements for it.

Hopefully you can get a fix for this out quickly, as it’s a rather critical flaw but seems quite trivial.

wp-admin stops working on activation

Hi!

When I activate the plugin, instead of automatically going to the plugin settings page I get a too many redirects error and the page doesn’t load. This then happens for all pages in the admin area making wordpress unusable.

Frontend is still live however I need to manually disable plugin via ftp to get use of wp-admin area.

Has anyone experienced this issue or has a fix I can use to resolve this?

HTML scripts crashing the plugin

Hi,

I’ve been trying to always display the current year in the copyright field with the following HTML code:

However, as soon as I paste this line inside of the editor, the screen goes blank, so that I can’t add this line to the footer using “Visual footer credit remover”. Is there a way to add this code nevertheless? I could not find the storage path, where the plugin stores the inputted new footer code in order to add my html script from there. Does anybody know a way to make this happen?

Grid/Slider/Carousel crashes the page

Good morning everyone and thank you for your interest in my problem. I am building a site with Royal Theme and Royal plugin. On one page I have placed the Grid/Slider/Carousel element. After changing from one filter to the other 3-4 times, the page crashes, a message comes out saying that the page is not responding and I only get out of the block by closing the page.
Also, very often, switching from one filter to another is very slow. Then with some filters, the second one, for example “Aereofotogrammetrida e Attrezzature”, initially seems to go crazy, it starts showing only one photo at a time and blinks.
