Pages show cropped header. Help?

Greetings, helpful people. I recently changed from the outdated Affinity theme to Twenty Seventeen. I like the new look, but have a problem on all pages other than the landing page: a cropped/truncated header.

A look at the Posts page or any blog post shows this problem. Since the header is exactly the size recommended by this theme, I wonder what I can do to fix this unwelcome effect on all the pages and blog posts we add?

I was searching for weeks trying to find a way to fix all of my different sized product photos causing the woocommerce shop page to look disorganized and cheap without using the horrible auto cropping built into woocommerce which just cuts part of the image off. This was exactly what I needed and now my shop page looks professional and nothing is cut off!

On Hueman Related Posts, featured images are cropped. Previously I have was a solution for this; I’m going to (hueman / parts / related-posts.php) and “thumb-medium” > “thumb-standard” and then very perfect image sizes for me. But now when you do it again, literally nothing changes.

I have been able to do this simply before, but after the April 2020 update in hueman, this became impossible.

Stretched cropped thumbnails

I cropped a few of my thumbnails using the “Crop Thumbnail” feature, but the resulting thumbs on the photo gallery page are stretched strangely. Any thoughts?

Show scaled imatge in WP Bakery

Hi, I have paid account with TinyPNG.
The question is that I have WP Bakery to build the pages. What I’m looking is that the image shown does not resize to it’s container.
I mean that the container maybe is 400×400, so I upload a 600×600 image and it shows a 600×600 image instead of a resized image.
I thought the system would show up a resized image for each container size.
Can it be done with the plugin?

Carousel cropping images

On my homepage carousel my images are getting cropped more and more every time it switches to another.
All dimensions have been set the same for the images so I am struggling to know whether this is an issue with the theme or WordPress (which many need updating?)

Set mobile slider images to ‘contain’

Hello – My images are being cropped on mobile to fit within the 600x400px dimensions I have set. However, rather than cropping I would rather the images be contained to that area so the image text isn’t cut off.

I’ve tried adding the CSS property ‘object-fit’ in different selectors, but to no avail. Is there another way to achieve this?

Slideshow images are cropped and out of place

For some reason the NextGEN Galleries are now placing the slideshow

lower than it should be, overlapping content that is lower on the page, and it’s also cropping the vertical height of the images in half. This is the shortcode I’m using:
[ngg src=”galleries” ids=”9″ display=”basic_slideshow”]

Even when I add the height to the shortcode, it doesn’t make any difference, it still shows up the same way.

Good theme, but poor documentation and spotty technical support for image slider

I was having problems with the Home Page slider and its images resizing/cropping incorrectly on my phone Chrome browser, as well as three different Windows 7 desktop browsers, so I upgraded to the paid version, Grow Pro 1.4.6 in order to get technical support. I had chosen a full width ThinkUpThemes slider for the home page and populated it with three images of the recommended size. After four days of back and forth (at one reply per day) with their technical support, I was informed that what I was reporting was not a bug, but a request for enhancement for which they are not responsible, and that I should try fixing the problem myself with a child theme. This was to me a blatant miscategorization of a major shortcoming in their software, and I told my tech support person that. Also, I looked at their theme with an eye toward fixing it and for someone who is not familiar with the source, it was no easy task. I then posted my dissatisfaction to the ThinkUpThemes Facebook page, where I was told that FB is for marketing only and that I should use the support website. I told them that I had already done that, was dissatisfied and could they please pass my help request to someone who could help me. The next day, I received a reply for a more knowledgeable support person who informed me that I simply needed to disable my full width slider selection. Once I did that, I had to experiment with the max slider height property, but I eventually got the slider working properly in all the circumstances that I could test. However the Pro version offers different slider options, and I am using the ThinkUpSlider slider in which both the Enable Full-Width Slider and Slider Height (Max) selections are hidden. In order to modify those options, I found that I had to first choose Image Slider as my Home Page Slider. And after I modified them, I had to to change back to ThinkUpSlider. This made testing different max slider heights a bit cumbersome, but it worked and looks great.

crop problem with thumbnail gallery

Hello,
I’m using photo gallery with wordpress but I’m facing a major problem :
when I want to insert a thumbnail gallery, the images are always cropped. Sometimes they are okay when I refresh the page but most of the time we can only see half of them.
Could you help me with that ?
