Learnpress combined with Woocommerce allows to sell courses from the online store. It’s possible to associate a course to a product and therefore, when the user buys the product, he or she will be automatically enrolled in the course. Also, it’s possible associate different courses to one product so that automatic enrollment after purchase is in several courses at the same time.
However, many times, the course seller needs to offer options on the same course, using product variations this would be possible. For example:
A History course that you offer in English and Spanish. Or a Computing course that has a basic and expert level. Learnpress forces to create two products to sell those two courses, when it could be sold on a single product page, using the variation dropdown menu, if LP allowed to associate a course to each variation, instead of to the product.
The website owner is forced to create as many products as courses they have, and the user is forced to buy from different products, when they could choose from several course options within the same product page.
I think this is a bad user experience for both.
Also for add-ons. You can sell the basic course or the basic course plus an extra. These would be two attributes that would make two variations of the product. By assigning a course to each variation, the student could buy and enroll in different courses from the same product page, for similar courses where only have to choose the desired option/variation.
I think this would work for many Learnpress users (all those who sell courses with slight variations and who don’t want to complicate the purchase process for their students).
Thanks for your attention.
Regards.
Produkt ein
Cross Selling anzubieten.
Mir schwebt so etwas wie hier vor:
https://www.jalousiescout.de/Rolladenmotor/Rohrmotor/Elektronisch/m-line-medium-30.html
Vielen Dank!
I would like to show certain cross selling product-variations depending on the chosen variation of a product.
For example
product = T-Shirt with color = variation blue chosen
cross selling should show only shoes in variation blue
How can I solve this? Any ideas?
Thanks from Germany, isiway
]]>I just came across the Cross-Sell function and I love it! I was just using “Related Products” in my listings before. However, I noticed that when a user gets to their cart, that the cross-sell items that appear are squished and look downright terrible. I’m using the Function theme if that helps. I’m going to try and put a screenshot here to show you what I’m talking about.
You can also just go to my website and add this item to your cart. Then click on view cart, scroll down and you’ll see what I mean under “You may be interested in…”
Thank you for the help!

]]>In essence – I am looking for a solution to the following requirement of a client of mine;
They have a business model in which they would like to sell two given products together. i.e., when a user buys a shirt, they must buy a tie to go with it.
Here’s the example to hopefully make things clear
A user finds a shirt he likes from your product listings, and goes into that product page in order to buy it or look at more details.
With these details is the option to customise it with a tie, with the ability to choose from all available ties and ideally see what the combination looks like together.
That way; if a user were to buy a “White Shirt”, and then select the “Red Polka Dot Tie” to go along with it, these two products could be shown with each other to demonstrate the look, optionally as a separate uploaded image.
Does anybody know of a feasible solution to this requirement, any add-ons that offer this or similar functionality – or could point me in the right direction of how this would be most efficiently achieved.
Bear in mind that I am a web developer with decent knowledge of PHP, however have never worked with WordPress before, let alone WooCommerce – so right now creating an entire plug-in to extend WooCommerce seems infeasible and slightly over my head, but I am always willing to learn.
I have taken a look at quite a few different WooCommerce solutions, such as product bundles, force sells – but none of these offer exactly what I need, in as much as customisability and freedom of choice – as well as the main feature of being able to preview what two items will look like together before buying them.
]]>I have a number of items priced at $12. I’d like to cross sell items, so if they purchase 2 or more of any item at $12 I’d like to be able to sell them for $10 each. Is this possible?
I could add all the qualifying products to a particular category if the discount could be applied over a category? Or is this not possible at all?
The plugin works great for a single product with variations, but it would be great if I could offer the bulk discount across different products. Thoughts?
