Our website is managed by a third party so I don’t have access to the login data for the purchased version of Woo Commerce. So I’m asking on here instead.
I used the CSV Import Suite to import and merge ~800 existing product variation SKU prices. The import page shows that the last item was successfully merged, and I verified this by checking on the live site.
However, I’m used to the import suite giving me a status message update that it finished and some other info about cleaning up files, etc. It’s been stuck on the animated status bar going on 3 hours, and I’m afraid to close out the tab or edit anything.
Can anyone give me any advice? Is it safe to close out of the tab? If it’s needed, I’m using Firefox v 119.0 (64-bit).

]]>Uploaded Products(parent Products) and created there variations in attributes columns of parent product and then uploaded the child variations csv which successfully created the variations (this is achieved by ticking the checkbox ‘Used for variations’), moving forward the images and the details appear when the product is viewed in backend. when we load the product only first variation is loaded.
please update if the child csv or the parent csv should be modified.

]]>We have an ever-existing issue with CSV Import Suite when merging variations.
Although the new data is successfully updated, the default attributes of the variations reset to “no default Size”. That means that we have to manually pick up the default attributes in each product.

]]>Another thing I am finding using CSV Import Suite and my shop is child categories don’t seem to be working. I have a “Brands” main category with all my suppliers listed as child categories within that.
When I want to import a product and I only import a brand it works when I use “Brands > Vallejo” in the csv field but if I want to have a 2nd category it merges them.
IE, I have put the product_cat field as Paints, Brands > Vallejo but it gets imported as the category Paints Brands > Vallejo. Am I doing the category definition correctly? If so, why are the categories being merged?

]]>I am setting up a shop and trying to import a product list via a .csv file rather than type out 11k+ products but I seem to be missing something.
I have set the manage_stock attribute to “yes” and the stock attribute on the products to “0” as I have no stock yet.
However, when I import this file the stock gets set to In Stock (0). I assumed that by having no stock it would set the stock to Out Of Stock (0).
I can only get this to happen if I set stock_status to “outofstock”.
Is that correct functionality or am I missing something?

– this is not the first time we uploaded the products and product variations. (because client changed her mind over product grouping several times since I first uploaded products in June/July.)
– Last week, I deleted all products (which may have ended up orphaning variations). When I uploaded the updated products, they all uploaded successfully. BUT when I uploaded product variations as new (not merged), we got errors that variations already exist. However, when you edit the product, there are NO variations.
– We tried: a) deleting variations from WordPress/WooCommerce interface; b) https://gist.github.com/pmgarman/6135967; c) DB and post meta; d) restore backup, then delete variations first, then delete products so the variations don’t get orphaned; e) delete WooCommerce and reinstall it. None of these worked.
Micro-Fiber Cloth — ALL variations uploaded fine in the past. But today, some were imported, some were not.
– “Product Variation already processed” –> I shouldn’t get this error because Line 622 and Line 623 have different attributes and prices for product SKU MF1621-GR.
Mesh Laundry Bag — says variation already exists, but when you click on Edit Product, there are no variations.

Prices, dimensions, and weights are good to go. Here is the issue… The products that are in stock are showing up on page 2 or 3. Page one is blank, page 2 has 2 times, page 3 has 3 times.
Display out of stock items is UNCHECKED. Over all it seems like it should be a menu_order issue that doesn’t seem to be working. All if i change the display sorting drop down to anything other than default, all the products show up correctly on the first page
