I found this code:
#footer
{
background-color: #F3F3F3 !important; /* Bonus light gray background color, you can remove it if you wish */
border-top: 1px solid rgba(206, 206, 206, 0.4); /* 1px high and 60% transparent border */
}
The colour for the widget and footer area is #004687 How do I add the custom image bar?

I believe I’ve achieved a similar effect in css once before. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
]]>Here’s my little project for the New Year. I’m not entirely sure how to accomplish this.
1. Every day starting January 1st I’m uploading a new photo to my NextGen gallery. I want this photo in my header. I’ve already widgitized my WordPress header. (I’m using Woo Themes’ Canvas theme.)
2. I’m editing each photo before uploading to WordPress to a specific size. I want the full photo to display in my header at a reduced percentage. This seems to be a simple matter of increasing the pixel size in the widget. What I need help with is how to do this without any distortion. Dummy me can’t figure out the easy ratio/formula.
3. When someone clicks on the image header, I don’t want the slide show to open. Instead I want the gallery page to open. I’ve already set up this page. How do I accomplish this?
4. This is the tricky part. In a transparent banner across my header image, I want a narrow band with text that describes my 2013 photography project. The banner will be white but very transparent so it doesn’t interfere with the image.
5. I’d love a postage stamp border around my header image. Any recommendations on how to include a special border?
6. Last, I would like people to be able to easily share my photos elsewhere. There are several NextGen social media plugins. I’m not a fan of relying on lots of plugins and would prefer to custom-code this myself, but in this case I think a plugin would be much easier. Any recommendations?
Gosh, I’m sure requesting a lot of direction. I do have some ideas on how to accomplish these goals but would really welcome some friendly input.
Thanks so much, folks!

]]>I was trying to add facebook/ twitter icons to our homepage & I think I accidently deleted my navigation menu. It was a custom design, is there anyway to recover this?
I now do not have any navigation menu on my homepage. I tried to create one using “custom menu” but have been unsuccessful. Please help!
]]>I’m having a unique problem I’m hoping you’ll be able to assist with.
I’m attempting to add a boarder outline to my wordpress install.
The border outline image should be behind the content text, so that the text appears naturally with the image forming the theme border outline.
Issue is, the header and footer align quite well, but try as I may, I am not able to call the #border created in the style.css to show on the index and page.php of my blog as a border.
The blog in question is located here:
https://sgela.daniellefranckie.com/wp/hello-world.html
and the border image I’m attempting to wrap around the blog (as you can tell the shadow of the outline ends at the header and also footer).
Image here:

I know I’m supposed to create a function in the .css file, something like
#wrapper
{ background url() repeat-y; } etc.
Then create another in the index.php file.
I’ve tried all these, and the image simply isn’t showing up.
Any assistance would surely be highly appreciated
Many thanks for your feedback
