Child Theme concept with Plug-ins

Greetings,
I am using and talking with NextGen Gallery and they have been very responsive and helpful with my issues so this post is not a reflection on NextGen. They had been Great!!
I am using a child theme to override my main theme, Virtue, bur now I need to modify NextGen custom css.
Can I develop a “Child Theme” to override their style sheet?

Aligning Slideshow

I’m sure this question has been asked a million times but I keep searching and I can’t fix my problem. I want to float some of my slideshows to the right on my site and I can’t figure out how to do it. I read that you can create a Custom Styles and I tried to do that, and I even tried inserted the alignment code (float: right;) that I saw posted for aligning. However, I’m not entirely sure where to put it in the code. I keep trying to fix it but the slideshow won’t budge from being centered.

To make sure I am understanding-
I start at General Settings>
Custom Styles>
Light Customize>
Give it a new title in the small box above the code (example float right, let’s say)>
Plop in the code float: right;>
(this is where I’m confused)
Hit save changes.

Then, when I updating the actual slideshow I want to align right, under
“The style used for this slideshow” I can choose the custom ‘float right’ option I created, yes?

I know I’m doing something wrong, but at this point I’ve given up trying to figure it out, especially considering this is probably super easy to fix.

Any help would be much appreciated!!

[Theme: Twenty Twelve] Featured Image below Title and in RSS Feeds

Hey folks. I just started up a new blog at https://www.geekfitness.net, and I’m having one major issue with my CSS. I love the new Twenty Twelve theme and the auto-sizing of Featured Image.

But for my site, I want the Featured Image to show up UNDER the title of the post. I was also told today that the Featured Image isn’t showing up for folks who subscribe via Feeds. I want to use this feature as the primary way to introduce posts, but if they’re not showing up in feeds, I won’t be able to do that.

I can’t seem to find the CSS code to move around to get it under the title and show in feeds. Does anyone know how to do that?

[Theme: Adventure Journal] Trouble adding custom stylesheets

I’m really enjoying personalizing adventure-journal, but I’m having trouble finding where to add custom stylesheets. I’m running wordpress 3.2.1 and version 1.7.2 of the theme.

According to style.css it says: "If you need to make changes to this theme, create a new stylesheet in the wp-content folder then go to the 'WordPress Admin > Settings > Adventure Journal' and add your new stylesheet under the 'Custom Stylesheet' section. "

But there is no “Adventure Journal” option in Settings. Instead I found it in Theme Options but it says my stylesheet url can’t be found. It also said that about my graphic for my logo, but the logo shows up on the blog.

I’m actually able to load the url as the theme interprets the filepath and see the stylesheet. So what gives?

Help?
