Bug report and how to center the form in the page

I am testing out this plugin and I have encountered an issue which seems like a bug.

When I first load the customiser and click on the blue pencil edit icon for any element in the preview, it turns off the preview and shows the home page of my site so I cannot see any changes in real time.

On an unrelated topic, my question is this. Your plugin allows users to upload an image as the backgound of the actual form itself, rather than the background of the page, which is exactly what I want, except that you cannot scale the image. I have an image I will be using and I want to match the position of the input fields with elements on the image. Using an image as the background of the page will move the relative positions when the device size changes so I thought I would try putting the image as the background of the form. However the default size of the form is quite small, almost a square and so I increased the size of the form so that more of the background image is seen. But then the input fields move to the far left and the far right as you can see in this screenshot https://prnt.sc/P34mYCLyYsWX, even though I have set the layout to center center (vertically and horizontally).

Can you assist?

Customiser not working

I can make changes in Customizer to the previews to try out things but after clicking ‘save draft’ there is no change at all to the published website. I started with the free version but then upgraded to premium to have more options but since doing so I haven’t been able to change anything.

any thoughts?

Customiser a nd full width navbar

I am editing the Blocksy theme using the Customiser. For some reason, when I am editing the Header in the Customiser, the navbar remains a trigger/hamburger-even when in desktop tab view. I cannot see all of the nav links in desktop view-it remains a trigger hamburger. This makes it very hard to edit the navbar and header.

The navbar show normally when the website is opened via the server-it is just the Customiser the desktop nav wont show. I have tried deactivating all plugins and clearing history and the cache but this does not help.

Any tips or suggestions would be mostly appreciated.

Change color of top row columns

I am using the Kadence template on a local website (am using xampp) and am wanting to change the color of
different columns on the top row of the header like this website:https://www.cliniqueaurora.com/
so the top bar is two different colors (orange and black). I cannot see this option in the style customiser for changing the color
of individual columns in the top bar row so
will probably have to edit the css.

I have tried to find the class for the right end column using the inspector which is:
.site-header-section-right
I tried to change the background color to green in the add custom css in the customiser:
.site-header-section-right{background-color:green!important;}

This created a large colored block rather than just coloring the row.

Do I need to add an id to this column? I can’t see where I do this.

Also when styling with css is it best to use the !important override?
I am new to css styling in wordpress so any help or suggestions on how to create two colors for a top bar would be great.

Website appearance different in Customiser and Preview mode

I’m using WP for the first time to create a website for a local community park. I’m using Astra (free version) to make the website and I’ve created all the pages as drafts. I’m using Appearance > Customise > to make all the customisations in the website including the header and footer menus and design. The problem is that these are NOT showing up in the preview for any page. The Preview looks entirely different with a totally different header menu and a Take Action button which I’m unable to remove! I’ve tried publishing a page and the page shows up as the version with the unwanted button and without my customisations.

Please can anyone help! Thanks in advance.

Getting started with Twenty-Three

I want to completely rebuild my website and created a subdomain where I installed a clean WP-environment. Since theme Twenty-Three seems as good as any, I thought to try work from there. But I get overwhelmed by the options, possibilities etc. For example, after working some time with the customizer, I got a page layout, I more ore less like. But when I create a page, it doesn’t have any of the template’s look and feel.

But even more basic, aligning blocks, changing fonts (and do I change them for the entire site or only on this one location), changing the padding etc etc… It’s all a struggle.

Hence my question: what is a good read, video, URL to get all these basics explained?

Can’t switch to “Grid” layout – “Featured Content” not appearing

I’ve uninstalled all plugins, deleted and re-installed the theme, opened it in multiple browsers, and still the “Featured Content” section doesn’t appear in the customize options. What’s weird is it DOES show up on my other website.

Edits in customiser not saving

I have a couple of issues with my WordPress.

No edits I make seem to be saved. Everything looks fine in the editor but as soon as things are saved and I go to see the page nothing has changed. I am making changes to the Front Page. When using one of the buttons it has an additional url added in front of it. So I get a 404 error. But it all looks correct in the editor.

One of the headings looks perfect in the editor but has a url inserted inside the text. The other day it had a different url and it was inserted in the same heading but a different position within it.

I have cleared the PHP cache.
I have tried different browsers and computers.

I am using Astra theme version 3.7.6 PHP version 8.0 WordPress version 5.8.3
