I’d appreciate all help
]]>Upon deleting the Beta plugin, it had also deleted my entire directory of paid listings, which was just over 500 business profiles. I reached out to my web provider to see if they could restore the listings from backup. They have restored the site to the previous week, but none of the listings have restored!! I am unsure how to resolve this issue and was wondering if the support team could help? I have sent several emails but no one has got back to me yet?
]]>I am running WordPress 4.7.2.
When I updated your plugin to the latest version, 1.8, my site went into maintenance mode and wouldn’t allow me access. Upon gaining access back I went to the plugins page. It stated that the TablePress plugin was removed. The folder tablepress still exists in the plugins directory, which would be why I got the following message when I tried to install it back:
Installation failed: Destination folder already exists.
I zipped up the tablepress folder and am thinking that if I then subsequently deleted the folder it would allow me install the plugin again. My concern is that I have lost all the tables my various posts and pages (no way of knowing what was contained in these tables at this point) are gone as the places I have checked are currently just showing the short codes to the world, i.e. https://dwcryan.com/resume/
I checked my WP database and no tables stood out as a place where you are storing the data for tables (or with the update crashing and removing the plugin the tables are now gone). I do have a backup of my database pre-update and see in my posts where tablepress is referenced but not sure about table data themselves.
Any assistance would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Devin
I’ve done a stupid thing. I accidentally deleted my WP blog via my ftp client.
My blog is hosted on my site’s hosting account.
I managed to stop the delete once I realised what I was doing. My problem is that I can’t locate the folder or database containing my blog posts. I can find images I uploaded but have no idea where to find my blog entries.
If the blog entries still exist, where and how would I find them?
I’m scouring through my ftp client hoping to find a .txt file or .doc file containing an entry… I assume I’m hunting down the wrong file. What should I be looking for?
If I have already deleted my blog entries, is there any way I can recover the deleted files/database with my hosting provider/via my ftp client?
Many thanks
