Delete theme option still missing

I’ve gone through the forum on this topic (delete link missing from theme details page) and see that it’s been a problem for several years. However, I’ve only encountered it over the past 2 months, worked previous to that. Is it a WordPress bug, a browser or plug-in conflict, or ??? The ftp route is an inconvenience that shouldn’t be needed.I hope that the development team addresses this soon.

The delete option does not appear for the Primer theme. It is not is use. Disabling all plugins does not help, the delete link does not appears anyway.

p.s. I was deleting unused themes to avoid new update information on them.

I’v got a website that’s crashing before I can login to the admin area. It has been suggested that deleting some of the plugins may resolve the issue . The problem is that I can’t log into the admin section.

So I’m wondering can I just ftp into the site and delete the theme from the themes folder? Will the site just default to one of the default themes i.e. 2017 or something?

I’m trying to move to an updated version of a third party theme that works on the genesis framework. I know you can’t delete an active theme, but there is no longer a delete button underneath any of the the 2 other themes I have installed. Developer said current version must be deleted before upgrade is installed so I added the WP 2017 to use as the default while I customize new theme, but am not willing to activate it when I see no option to delete current theme. TIA for the help!

Hello all!

I uploaded the theme you see there and imported demo files for that as well.

Here’s the issue: I delete the theme from my dashboard as well as the folder via FTP manager (and all plugins associated with it). I re-download the zip file with the theme, re-extract everything and then upload a completely fresh theme folder…. Yet ALL of the old changes I made are reflected on the new upload.

What am I missing? How do I delete EVERYTHING for good?

Appreciate any help.

I purchased Avada from Themeforest (theme sucks btw) Anyway, I uninstalled it but it left several components behind. Here is a screenshot. There is no delete or any way to get rid of it. I contacted Ipage, but I am tired of waiting. My site has been down for six days thanks to Avada.
