Hi,
My user account has been deleted yesterday by accident and all the articles I published disappeared. Is there a way to recover the deleted articles?

Hello everyone,
Yesterday I got an alert from Wordfence informing me that a new Admin user was created which I did not recognised. I immediately deleted this user and updated all the plug-ins. I then noticed that some features of the website were off, but I do not know if it was due to the plug-in updates, or was my site hacked?
I would like to retrieve information about this deleted user because it could be someone working for our previous site maintenance provider. Can I check this information: user name, user date creation, email account?
I’m an Admin user and tried to look for this in users section but could not find an option to restore or check deleted users.
In the meantime, I ran some scans, activated new security plugins, changed passwords and everything seems to be fine with the site, so I feel like we were not hacked; but I would still like to know who this new user was, and how it was created.

I was going through and cleaning up our users and accidentally deleted a past employee that uploaded videos I need. How do I undo this????

I have used this tool for about 3 years now and find it does a great job. Recently I made the bone headed mistake of deleting a user who had posted content that needed to remain. Assigning the content to another valid user did not happen. Recovering was not fun though pages and posts restore nicely.
I was worried about a really large table created by the deleted user going away… it did not. I immediately sent in a contribution. Why? For what might be an error? Because, two other key plugins did delete content and did not provide for a way to restore the content. It might be that tables created by deleted users should go away but please do not “fix” this until or with out creating the ability to restore the content of the deleted user.

Can not find the encrypted file inside the plugin folder

What’s the name of that file, where exactly is it located inside the plugin folder because I can not find it (after deleting a user, of course).

Deleted User – Lost Images

Hello, first time poster.

So what happen was, I had a temporary account via a plugin to help me on my site. After the job was completed, I deleted this account, so in turn I lost everything they done.

Thankfully, I had a backup, but not a full backup, so images aren’t included.

My issue is, how can I re-add these images as I still have the code? I know the task may be annoying, but the website only had 5 images in total. The image names are still in the media library, but they are blank.

I’ve attached a image of the code. Any help or advice would be appreciated, and yes, I learnt my lesson and I will be doing full backups from now on.

Deleted a User and it messed up my site – corrupted text missing thumbnails

We had a user with Author permissions that we weren’t using so we deleted it (attributing all it’s posts to the admin). Several things are now wrong with the site. These appear on the front end and admin area of the site:

– corrupted text, punctuation replaced by symbols

– random missing thumbnails

– old thumbnails were square but now portrait or landscape, ruining the layout

The last 2 are inconsistent, some posts are messed up, some fine.

I’ve contacted the host of our shared server and they have restored the database and files to dates before this stuff appeared, but that didn’t solve our issue (oddly, posts created after the restore point are still there).

Any ideas on how to get our site back to normal would be much appreciated!

I built a site for a client a while back, and they deleted my user after I was done working for them. Now I keep getting emails for all sorts of things. I tried typing my email in the forgot password thing, but it says there is no user associated with the email.

Hello, I accidentally deleted one of my admin users on my wordpress site and now I’m not able to reply to comments. Any idea how I can fix this? I’m assuming its because of the deleted user. The issues started after that
