What’s up with the page tabs not showing at the top anymore? The tabs are missing and the page titles appear randomly.

I’ve had to add pages in my sidebar to replace the top tabs.

hi. a basic question, i think. i’m trying to use the wordpress as a cms for my articles, set up as “pages” (my website is baskak.pl). i’m using desk mess 1.4 theme, and i want to set up a child page to a parent page that shows in what i believe is the header of the website. in the theme, the main (parent) pages are represented by “scraps of paper” “stapled” to the desk. however, when i set up a child page, it also shows as a “scrap of paper” BELOW the parent page, therefore OBSCURED by other elements of the theme design. this is not what i intend – i don’t want it to show there, i want it to show as a link on the parent page when i open the latter. unfortunately, the child pages are NOT listed on the parent page – the parent page is empty.
i know about the wp_list_pages() template tag, and i consulted both the help page about it and about the template tags in general. however, the help pages does not tell where to find the appropriate wp_list_pages() entries in this case (it’s not in neither header.php nor sidebar.php). to be true, i would be happy to learn about dashboard/gui method of managing this issues, if possible.

Page menu image transparency problem in IE6

If you have IE6, look at www.bobtzu.com

Notice that:

a) The background images for the Page Navigation are not handling transparency correctly, and they have a white border around them.

b) For a Page Title that’s too wide, the line wraps with BIG line spacing, causing the repeat of the image.

Anyone have a solution for either or both of these issues?

I currently have the Desk-Mess theme and the any-to-subscribe plugin (there are plenty more besides this one) implemented on my website https://schoolisagame.com/blog.

Users are always able to subscribe to the website using the any-to-subscribe button.

In the Desk-Mess, while looking a single post, a small subscribe button appears in the upper left corner of the post. This button simply produces an error when people press it. Can anyone give me some hints about how to get feed to start working?

Desk-mess theme – footer, pages and widget problems

I have customised the Desk-mess free wp theme, but I’m having some trouble tweaking it.

1. The footer is out since i deleted the calendar and search from sidebar.php, but i can’t see what the problem is there.

2. the main point of the site is the wp-ecommerce plugin, but i can’t find a way to make the page links prominent. my page tabs are up hidden behind my banner at the moment how do i make them show up on the white area (in the centre, over maintoppart.png) in black and big arial font (can’t seem to get this to change in style.css, also want to make them not hover red) also the formatting of the shop plugin is such that it has three subpages, i only want these to show up when one clicks ‘shop’, not underneath as they do currently, it looks ugly.

3. I wanted to use the ‘text’ widget in wp-admin to add info to the sidebar, but this doesnt seem to be allowed/showing up when i do so. is this because desk-mess is not widgetised? if so, how can i do this?

i am pretty good with code just a bit stuck, any help greatfully recieved.

Fotter image aligns to left

After updating the Desk Mess theme I noticed that the footer image aligns to the left. www.TellMeAboutThat.com
How do I get it centered again?

I tried contacting the theme author and received no response.

I’ve been using the Desk Mess Theme for several months. Recently an update was posted and I downloaded it. The only real noticable changes were the “page” title tabs. They are now smaller and do not support more than one or two small words. It’s really not a problem except for my “Privacy Policy” which I had to cut to “Privacy”. Can someone tell me how to change the size of the tab? I’ve left messages for the author with no response.

Also, I’d like to get rid of the original “searchform” and just use the Google search that I already added. Can you tell me how to do that as well? Again, I’ve attempted contact with the author with no response.

No indent in Desktop Mess theme

Using Desktop Mess 1.2 theme,

WordPress 2.6.2

Nothing indents as normal with vanilla html (blockquotes, ul, li, etc) in the main text area of posts.

Anyone know an easy fix?
