Comments Disabled on Random Posts

Hi there,

I recently discovered that there are a random large number of posts on my website where the comments are disabled. I’ve been debugged this issue as much as physically possible at this point. I’ve deactivated plugins to see if that’s the issue with no luck. I’ve also gone into each post to ensure that the comments are enabled. I’ve also gone into the general WordPress Discussion settings and all the settings appear to be in order there.

Could someone help me with this issue?

“Sorry comments are closed for this item.” appearing in error

I have comments open in the “discussion” section.

However, when a visitor types a comment into the comment box on a post, after clicking “post comment”, they’re taken to a new page with the following text:

“Sorry comments are closed for this item.
<< Back”

I do not have JetPack installed. Any thoughts on what other plugins or issues could potentially be causing this?

Show old comments while writing new is disabled

I wanted temporary disable comments for specific page but when I disable them then all already written comments disappear. I would like to keep them showed even when writing new is disabled.

All my posts are reverting to my about page.

I am very very confused and a little freaked….
I made an about page the only way I know how…I disabled comments because I wanted it to look more professional…now every single thing that I click on in posts or comments is going to the about page. How can this happen? Any help would be very appreciated!

Some author's posts do not get a Comments block

My WP site (https://www.gamergeoff.com) has several users who are in the Authors groups, and for most of them, the site works as I would expect it to work.

But for a couple of them, their posts appear without a Comments box. I have viewed the posts in detail and cannot see anything different from any other posts. I can add comments to the posts myself, the “Comments” area in the post editing form work, but obviously that is not available to regular users.

I’ve spent a lot of time looking at the posts in edit mode, and the author’s user accounts, and I cannot see what is different.

Help?

I am new to www.ads-software.com. Got my photo blog up and running and I’m using the theme Autofocus 1.0.1. For some reason comments are disabled even though the theme itself provides an option for nested comments. I have enabled comments on my blog, so I don’t know why they are disabled.
