There are categories A, B and C with A being used to display FEATURED posts (i.e. I can’t eliminate it).

There are multiple posts in category B with one ALSO in category A (Special #1). There are multiple posts in category C with one ALSO in category A (Special #2).

If I set YARPP to display category B, and I’m viewing Special #1, I see not only all of the posts in B but also Special #2, since it’s related to Special #1 via category A.

If I DISALLOW category A, then Special #1 does not display in any list for the posts in category B.

How do I fix this issue?

I get this message in Yoast; Huge SEO Issue: You’re blocking access to robots not true (in my case)

However – my robots text file is allowing robots (see below) – my ads.txt file is visible, and the box in Settings > Reading to ‘allow ‘ Discourage search engines from indexing this site’ is UNCHECKED. Any clues what I am doing wrong?

UPDATE: I disabled Yoast plugin and reactivated it it. Now the message does not show and says ‘Good job! We could detect no serious SEO problems.’. Can it really be that simple to fix? I’m not convinced after that. Why would simply reactivating the plugin it fix it?

I had the time to read about everything related to robots.txt and I already modified the robots.txt file of my website in this way:

Disallow: /
Allow: /wp-content/uploads/
Allow: /wp-content/blogs.dir/

However, I would like to ask you how can I allow certain pages/posts to be crawl by search engines as well ?

I have a website which has a Directory Plugin and my Clients are entering their Contact Details ie: Phone Number, email etc in the DESCRIPTION of a Post. I don’t want then to be able to do this.

The Plugin makes use of the Default WordPress edit functions for posts and pages.

What I want to accomplish is to filter out any email, or numbers entered in the Description window of the edit screen so that if they enter an email address or phone numbers they are informed this is not allowed or possible.

If there is a plugin that does this? can someone kindly point me in the right direction. Or would this be custom code?

This can cause Google to view the site as NOT mobile friendly and can cause ranking issues as a result.

I’d highly recommend removing that from your option to “create right robots.txt” as I cannot see it having any positive impact on SEO.
