Having a problem possibly related to this plugin

I went to edit a blog post on my website, and found that most of the entries were gone from some of the bulleted lists I had made in that post. The lists are still intact when I view the actual published post for now, and the revision history doesn’t say those parts of the post have been deleted, but when I go to edit the post (with either the visual editor or the code editor), a big chunk of those lists is gone from what I see in the editor.

So now I can’t edit the post continuing from how I left it, because what the editor gives me to work with is somehow missing some of the content that exists in the most recently published version of the post.

The problem seems to have something to do with the Easy Footnotes plugin. Every list cutoff seems to start at the point where I had put a shortcode for a footnote. I don’t think every list containing a footnote is having this problem, though, and the problem doesn’t go away when I deactivate this plugin (or any other plugins).

product short description not showing / not editable in certain situation

Hi there!
I would need help for the following situation:

in the woocommerce admin part:
* when I open an existing product
* then click on the “arrow up” or “arrow down” for the product description tab (the arrow moves the tab one row higher/lower in the admin page of the product editor)

then the product short description content (text) disappears.I also cannot change it, it is not possible to click in that tab and to edit the text content.

If I save the product (“publish“) or click on “save a draft” button, then the “product short description tab” reappears normally and shows the content it already had, and can be edited as usual.

This is a problem for me, as the shop manager is not proficient in technical matters, and it hinders him to work on the products.

I have had site up and running for a while with a purchased theme on it. All seemed to be fine until I upgraded to 5.0 WP. I am having serious trouble with publishing content. I am desparate. I add text and other content to a page, when I hit preview, publish or save (doesn’t matter which) the word count immediately goes to zero and all my content goes away. So far in order to resolve this issue I have in various combinations:
-downgraded to 4.9.9
-turned off visual editor
-installed and uninstalled Classic Editor plugin
-addedvdefine(‘WP_DEBUG’, true); to config file – revealed nothing
-deactivated, uninstalled and reinstalled all my plugins (I currently have 6 active)

Any help or assistance with this issue would be greatly appreciated. I know others have had this problem and none of their fixes seem to work for me.

Breaking News: I just updated this review to Five Stars because Nick Cernis (@modernnerd), responded almost immediately with the information to fix the problem. The problem wasn’t Genesis Connect for Woo, or Woo, itwas occurring because I hadn’t yet installed my Woo Cart and Checkout pages.

This is totally my fault: I last installed WooCommerce in 2015, and the version at that time auto-installed the Cart and Checkout pages. Current version doesn’t do so. Not knowing these two pages now had to be manually installed, or that I had to use the WC Setup Wizard to do so, they weren’t. Did so and it’s all motating along nicely now.

(original 1-star review, now updated to Five Stars): This is the first time I’ve had any kind of problem with Studiopress products; I use a number of them. I’m putting this 1-star review up in hopes of getting a fix sooner rather than later; and will change it to a 5-star review as soon as I’ve got an answer that makes GCFW work again. Herre’s what’s happening:

I just put together a brand new site, and Genesis Connect for WooCommerce is making my content disappear. As in gone, nowhere, disappeared completely off all the pages.

I deactivated all the plugins, then reactivated them one by one until I found which one was causing the problem. I can activate all my other plugins except GCFW, and the content is on the pages.

Site Content Disappears (for real!)

I just put together a brand new site, and Genesis Connect for WooCommerce is making my content disappear. As in gone, nowhere, disappeared completely off all the pages.

The site is on shared hosting on iPage.com. Here’s my WordPress Configuration:

Genesis Parent theme and Metro Pro Child Theme 2.5.2, both downloaded as “latest” from StudioPress 7-15-17.

I’m using the Genesis parent theme and Metro Pro Child theme 2.4.2 along with Genesis Connect for Woo on another site and not having any problems there.

I’d like to use the plugin; I’ve purchased a bunch of StudioPress themes and add-ons over the years and this is the first problem I’ve ever had with any of them.

Any ideas what’s going on?

After log out of WordPress new content disappears

Hey guys,

When i am logged into WordPress, the following happens:
-When i place an new photo in a gallery, it is visible in the live site. When i logged out of wordpress, this new photo disappears
-When i type a new text on a page, this text does stay on the live site after i log out of wordpress
-I changed the permalink and title of a page, which was visible on the live site. But after logging out of WordPress, the menu item that links to that page showed me an empty page

What can cause an item to be there on a live site when you are logged into WordPress and go away when i log out?

My home page posts have disappeared

So i decided to categorise all of my blog posts and once i categorised them all i refreshed my homepage and now they no longer show my most relevant posts. It’s just got my sidebar, header, slider, everything else except for the content itself.

It used to show my most relevant post. I have checked reading and it’s set to recent posts. Can anyone please tell me what’s going on?

On the front page of my website, the side bar content has moved to the bottom of the left side content, leaving the sidebar to the right blank, but every other page, the side bar goes back into the right space.

Lost all content

After moving from development to production all of the content within the accordions just disappeared (just a slight change in the url, aka https://thisisthedomain.com/dev to https://thisisthedomain.com. The titles are still there, but absolutely no content.

Any idea how to fix/ I’m the subcontractor, and the person who entered the content, the person I was subcontracted to, no longer has it.
