Ignore hits from other admins

Hi. Just wanted to say this plugin was what I was looking for. Simple tracking of hits, compatible with caching plugins.

Is there a way to ignore/discard not just the author’s hits on its own post, but any site admin (or a specific list of admins)?

Even if the functionality isn’t scheduled anytime soon, I’d take any code hack you can give me.

Losing all EXIF data on media

Hello! I’m totally stumped and really need help, and this doesn’t seem to be a problem that anyone else is having. I’m trying to make a map-based photoblog and I have it all set up how I want it, but I’m running into some serious difficulties actually getting my images onto the blog.

In a nutshell, every time I upload a picture, it loses most of its EXIF data. I’ve tried it using the built-in Media system, several plugins (YAPB, PhotoQ), email-to-post – it doesn’t seem to matter how it ends up in the database, as soon as it’s in there the EXIF is gone. There are dozens of plugins that are designed specifically to pull the GPS EXIF data from uploaded images, so there HAS to be a way to get my pictures up without sacrificing the EXIF data, but I’m at a total loss as to how.

Some things I’ve already tried:
-I can see the EXIF just fine in Preview and on images uploaded via FTP to non-Wordpress sites, including on the same server. So the EXIF is definitely part of the image when it’s selected in the upload dialogues.
-It doesn’t seem to matter how the images are added to the WordPress database (plugins, media uploader), once they’re in there the EXIF is gone.
-I have multiple WordPress installations running on different sites and they’re all doing this. They have no plugins or modifications in common except the Atahualpa base theme.
-It’s not a thumbnail or WordPress-native image editor issue; unmodified full-size images accessed via their URL in the file structure, thumbnails and generated resizes all have the same problem.

I’m pretty sure I just have something set up wrong, but I just can’t find it and it’s driving me crazy. All I want is for WordPress to stop discarding the metadata on my uploaded photos. Please help.

I want to remove the Blog image from the corresponding Single Post

I would like to have an image on my blog that will link to the single post,
but when the user arrives to the single post, I do not want them to see the image from the blog anymore.

My goal is in creating a video theatre so when a viewer clicks, the single post contains the video ready to play using the vpip plug in without the main image getting in the way.

Summing up, I want the image that is on the blog not to show up in the Single post.

New Post discards text after save or publish

On Mac PPC, Safari with 2.7 beta 3 and RC1.

When creating a new post in Visual mode the text gets cut after some 50 characters when saving or publishing. The only way to get the text saved is to use the HTML mode and then go back to the visual mode.

Has anybody any idea why this is happening? and how to resolve it?

Akismet Configuration Error

Hi,

I just activated akismet and went throught the configuration. I put the API code in the akismet.php file by hand. When trying to check the “Automatically discard spam comments on posts older than a month” box i get the following error:

Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home/sandulli/public_html/sgblog/wp-admin/admin-header.php:16) in /home/sandulli/public_html/sgblog/wp-includes/functions.php on line 1219

Any Idea’s how to fix?

Automatically save draft after time

Im sure i saw this but after extensive searching i still can’t find it. Some way of maybe a plugin that automatically saves your post as a draft and re-writes it every few seconds/minutes or somthing?? Does that exist? Also if you’ve used gmail – if you have written anything it’ll ask you if you are sure you want to discard your message. Does anyone know how to make somthing similar to that for WordPress?
